¡Saludos comunidad! El reto de esta semana es sobre una regla de batalla que otorga la habilidad “Thorns”. En la siguiente sección se explicará más a detalle, por lo que tener en cuenta este aspecto en el análisis para formar nuestras estrategias, es un factor clave con un impacto considerable en el desempeño de las mismas. Es importante recordar que el tipo de ofensiva a utilizar en nuestras estrategias también dependerá del resto de reglas presentes en la batalla.

En esta oportunidad, les explicaré cómo afronté una batalla de Ranked de la liga de Plata en el formato Moderno, enfocando mi análisis en explicar cómo utilicé al Splinter de Agua, el invocador Kelya Frendul y los monstruos Daigendark Surveyor, Tide Biter, Venari Spellsmith, Merdhampir y Doctor Blight para ser coherente con las reglas de batalla presentes y las habilidades que quería combinar con la finalidad de tomar ventaja en la partida con la estrategia planteada.

Ya que estos aspectos son un factor clave con un impacto considerable en el desempeño de nuestras estrategias.

Briar Patch es una regla que otorga la habilidad “Thorns” a todos los monstruos en la batalla. La habilidad “Thorns” hace un daño melee de 2 puntos cuando el monstruo que la posee recibe un ataque de tipo melee.

Entonces, conociendo estos detalles, es importante incluir en nuestras estrategias habilidades como: “Reflection Shield”, “Amplify”, “Shield”, “Protect” y “Repair” para tomar ventaja en la batalla.

Hablemos sobre el conjunto de reglas presentes en la batalla, este es el punto de partida para iniciar el análisis que nos llevará a la elección más adecuada para afrontar la batalla.

Límite de maná igual a 21 puntos, esta cantidad nos permite elegir invocadores con un costo de maná entre 4 y 7 puntos. Es importante tener una estrategia bien definida para aprovechar adecuadamente el maná restante para la elección de los monstruos.

La regla “Briar Patch” ya la expliqué a detalle en la sección anterior.

Entonces, tomando en cuenta todos estos aspectos, decidí utilizar al Splinter de Agua, ya que cuenta con monstruos que poseen buenas estadísticas, entre ellas, un buen daño melee, mágico y ranged. También cuenta con habilidades como: “Magic Reflect”, “Reflection Shield”, “Dispel”, “Life Leech”, “Cripple”, “Poison”, entre otras y con un invocador que incrementa en 1 punto la armadura y la velocidad de nuestro equipo.

Hablemos sobre el equipo y la estrategia que conforma. Dadas las circunstancias, era evidente el uso de los tipos de daño mágico y ranged. Es por ello que decidí elegir al invocador Kelya Frendul, ya que incrementa en 1 punto la armadura y la velocidad de nuestro equipo.

Daigendark Surveyor fue el tanque en esta oportunidad, ya que cuenta con una buena cantidad de puntos de vida y la habilidad “Magic Reflect”. Por lo que además de hacer un daño adicional cuando reciba daño melee también reflejará una porción del daño mágico recibido.

Tide Biter tiene como objetivo contribuir con su daño melee desde la segunda posición con la ventaja que su habilidad “Reflection Shield” lo hace inmune a los efectos de la habilidad “Thorns”.

Venari Spellsmith contribuye con su daño mágico desde la segunda línea. Además, su habilidad “Amplify” le permite aprovechar aún más el efecto de la habilidad “Thorns”, incrementando el daño que hace en 1 punto. Por otra parte, la habilidad “Dispel” le permite remover cualquier Buffs a su objetivo.

Merdhampir le da una gran ventaja al equipo mediante su habilidad “Cripple”. Por otra parte, su habilidad “Life Leech” le permite aumentar un poco su resistencia por cada ataque.

Doctor Blight tiene una participación clave, ya que sus habilidades “Poison” y “Affliction” le dan una gran ventaja al equipo. Por otra parte, gracias a su habilidad “Camouflage” puede atacar sin problemas desde la segunda línea sin recibir daño alguno.

Como les mencioné anteriormente, elegir al invocador Kelya Frendul y los monstruos Daigendark Surveyor, Tide Biter, Venari Spellsmith, Merdhampir y Doctor Blight, fue una buena opción. Sin embargo, también es importante incluir habilidades de soporte que le permitan a nuestro tanque y al resto del equipo, resistir lo suficiente.

Observen como para el turno 1 de la ronda 3, el equipo enemigo estaba casi abatido. Daigendark Surveyor y Tide Biter defendieron muy bien las primeras posiciones, dando tiempo al resto del equipo para tomar ventaja de las habilidades: “Thorns”, “Amplify”, “Cripple” y “Poison”. Es importante mencionar las habilidades que considero clave y que permitieron hacer esto son: “Reflection Shield”, “Amplify”, “Poison”, “Camouflage”, “Cripple” y los Buffs del invocador.

La estrategia planteada hizo un uso eficiente de la cantidad de maná disponible, cubriendo aspectos tales como: resistencia contra el daño enemigo, soporte del equipo, una buena ofensiva, y coherencia con el conjunto de reglas presente.

Una debilidad de esta estrategia es un equipo enemigo que cuente con una ofensiva con un elevado daño ranged y que incluya habilidades como: “Shield”, “Reflection Shield”, “Void”, “Void Armor”, “Magic Reflect”, “Amplify”, “Protect”, “Repair”, entra otras.

La diferencia entre las estrategias fue que el enemigo usó muchos monstruos con daño melee pero que no contaban con la habilidad “Reflection Shield”, por lo que ese daño adicional terminó siendo una gran desventaja. Tampoco contaban con resistencia al daño mágico.

Para el funcionamiento adecuado de nuestras estrategias, es importante considerar todos los aspectos involucrados, por lo que no sólo debemos enfocarnos en las estadísticas y habilidades a combinar. También debemos tener en cuenta la influencia de los conjuntos de reglas sobre la estrategia.

In this opportunity, I will explain how I faced a Silver League Ranked battle in the Modern format, focusing my analysis on explaining how I used the Water Splinter, the summoner Kelya Frendul and the monsters Daigendark Surveyor, Tide Biter, Venari Spellsmith, Merdhampir and Doctor Blight to be consistent with the battle rules present and the skills I wanted to combine in order to take advantage in the game with the strategy proposed.

Since these aspects are a key factor with a considerable impact on the performance of our strategies.

Briar Patch is a rule that grants the ability "Thorns" to all monsters in battle. The "Thorns" skill does a melee damage of 2 points when the monster that possesses it receives a melee attack.

So, knowing these details, it is important to include in our strategies skills such as: "Reflection Shield", "Amplify", "Shield", "Protect" and "Repair" to take advantage in battle.

Let's talk about the set of rules present in the battle, this is the starting point to begin the analysis that will lead us to the most appropriate choice to face the battle.

Let's talk about the equipment and the strategy it conforms. Given the circumstances, it was evident the use of magic and ranged damage types. That's why I decided to choose the summoner Kelya Frendul, since it increases the armor and speed of our team by 1 point.

Daigendark Surveyor was the tank this time, since he has a good amount of health points and the ability "Magic Reflect". So in addition to doing additional damage when receiving melee damage, he will also reflect a portion of the magic damage received.

Tide Biter aims to contribute with his melee damage from the second position with the advantage that his "Reflection Shield" skill makes him immune to the effects of the "Thorns" skill.

Venari Spellsmith contributes with his magic damage from the second line. In addition, his "Amplify" ability allows him to further exploit the effect of the "Thorns" ability, increasing the damage it does by 1 point. On the other hand, the "Dispel" ability allows him to remove any Buffs from his target.

Merdhampir gives a great advantage to the team through his "Cripple" ability. On the other hand, his "Life Leech" ability allows him to increase his stamina a bit per attack.

Doctor Blight plays a key role, as his "Poison" and "Affliction" abilities give him a great advantage to the team. On the other hand, thanks to his "Camouflage" ability, he can attack from the second line without taking any damage.

As I mentioned before, choosing the summoner Kelya Frendul and the monsters Daigendark Surveyor, Tide Biter, Venari Spellsmith, Merdhampir and Doctor Blight was a good choice. However, it is also important to include support abilities that allow our tank and the rest of the team to resist enough.

Note how by turn 1 of round 3, the enemy team was almost down. Daigendark Surveyor and Tide Biter defended the first positions very well, giving the rest of the team time to take advantage of the abilities: "Thorns", "Amplify", "Cripple" and "Poison". It is important to mention the skills that I consider key and that allowed us to do this: "Reflection Shield", "Amplify", "Poison", "Camouflage", "Cripple" and the Summoner's Buffs.

The strategy proposed made an efficient use of the amount of mana available, covering aspects such as: resistance against enemy damage, team support, a good offensive, and coherence with the present set of rules.

A weakness of this strategy is an enemy team that has an offensive with high ranged damage and that includes abilities such as: "Shield", "Reflection Shield", "Void", "Void Armor", "Magic Reflect", "Amplify", "Protect", "Repair", among others.

The difference between the strategies was that the enemy used many monsters with melee damage but did not have the "Reflection Shield" ability, so that additional damage ended up being a great disadvantage. They also did not have resistance to magic damage.

For the proper functioning of our strategies, it is important to consider all the aspects involved, so we should not only focus on the stats and skills to combine. We must also take into account the influence of the rule sets on the strategy.
