About Cruel Sethropod

According to Splinterlands Lore:
Sailors tell many tales of the dangers of the Cruel Sethropods. Armed with strong pincers and teeth as sharp as spears, they attack anything that gets within range. It is nearly impossible to remove a Cruel Sethropod once it has latched on, and many a sailor has the scars to show where they ventured too close.

This monster card came into the Game with the Chaos Legion.
It is an common water card, costs 3 mana, and has no abilities.
At level 1, it has 1 melee attack, 1 speed, 3 shield, and 4 health. She can be upgraded to level 10 and then has 3 melee attack, 2 speed, 6 shield and 7 health.

My Line Up

Summoner KELYA FRENDUL

I have chosen the Summoner Kelya Frendul from the element Water. I play this card at level 2, which allows me to play monsters up to level 3.

CRUEL SETHROPOD

As a small but strong tank I chose the Cruel Sethropod. It deals 2 melee damage, attacks with 2 speed, has 3 shield and 4 health.

KELP INITIATE

At position 2 the Kelp Initiate. It should serve as a small tank when the Cruel Sethropod is defeated. He has 5 speed and 5 health.

ICE PIXIE

The Ice Pixie should attack from position 3. She does this with 1 magic damage and 3 speed. Unfortunately, she only has 1 health.

Die Ice Pixie soll von Position 3 aus angreifen. Dies tut sie mit 1 Magieschaden und 3 Geschwindigkeit. Leider hat sie nur 1 Lebenspunkt.

DEEPLURKER

The Deeplurker is supposed to do the most damage. With 3 melee damage and 3 speed, it attacks the monster with the lowest health.

Der Deeplurker soll den meisten Schaden anrichten. Mit 3 Nahkampfschaden und 3 Geschwindigkeit greift er das Monster mit den niedrigsten Lebenspunkten an.

PELACOR BANDIT

On the last position the Pelacor Bandit. He has the Sneak and Flying ability. He attacks the last monster in the enemy team with 1 melee damage and 4 speed.

Auf der letzten Position der Pelacor Bandit. Er hat die Sneak und Flying Fähigkeit. Er greift mit 1 Nahkampfschaden und 4 Geschwindigkeit das letzte Monster im gegnerischen Team an.

The Battle

My opponent chose the Summoner Bortus from the Element Water.
His lineup consisted of the Serpent of Eld, Deeplurker, Merdaali Guardian and Albatross.

Mein Gegner wählte den Summoner Bortus vom Element Wasser.
Seine Aufstellung bestand aus dem Serpent of Eld, Deeplurker, Merdaali Guardian und Albatross.

Round 1

The first attack was made by the Serpent of Eld, destroying the shields of my Cruel Sethropod. The Pelacor Bandit defeated the Albatross. The Ice Pixie did 1 magic damage to the Serpent of Eld and then my Deeplurker defeated the Merdaali Guardian. Cruel Sethropod missed his attack and the enemy Deeplurker defeated my Ice Pixie.

Den ersten Angriff machte der Serpent of Eld und zerstörte die Schilder meines Cruel Sethropod. Der Pelacor Bandit besiegte den Albatross. Die Ice Pixie verursachte 1 Magieschaden beim Serpent of Eld und anschließend besiegte mein Deeplurker die Merdaali Guardian. Cruel Sethropod verfehlte seinen Angriff und der gegnerische Deeplurker besiegte meine Ice Pixie.

Round 2

Also at the beginning of the second round, Serpent of Eld hits my Cruel Sethropod with 3 melee damage. Pelacor Bandit hits the enemy Deeplurker with 1 melee damage and my Deeplurker destroys Serpent of Eld's shield. Cruel Sethropod deals 2 melee damage to Serpent of Eld. After that, the enemy Deeplurker defeats Cruel Sethropod.

Auch zu beginn der zweiten Runde trifft der Serpent of Eld meinen Cruel Sethropod mit 3 Nahkampfschaden. Pelacor Bandit trifft den gegnerischen Deeplurker mit 1 Nahkampfschaden und mein Deeplurker zerstört das Schild von Serpent of Eld. Cruel Sethropod fügt Serpent of Eld 2 Nahkampfschaden zu. Anschließend besiegt der gegnerische Deeplurker den Cruel Sethropod.

Round 3

On the third round, the Serpent of Eld begins its attack against the Kelp Initiate and hits with 3 melee damage. The Pelacor Bandit deals 1 melee damage to the Deeplurker and my Deeplurker defeats the Serpent of Eld. At the end of this round, the enemy Deeplurker defeated my Kelp Initiate.

In der dritten Runde startet der Serpent of Eld seinen Angriff gegen den Kelp Initiate und trifft mit 3 Nahkampfschaden. Der Pelacor Bandit fügt dem Deeplurker 1 Nahkampfschaden zu und mein Deeplurker besiegt den Serpent of Eld. Zum Schluss dieser Runde besiegte der gegnerische Deeplurker meinen Kelp Initiate.

Round 4

In the fourth and final round, the Pelacor Bandit begins his attack against the opposing Deeplurker and is then defeated by our Deeplurker. We win the battle.

In der vierten und letzten Runde beginn der Pelacor Bandit seinen Angriff gegen den gegenrischen Deeplurker und wird dann von unserem Deeplurker besiegt. Wir gewinnen das Battle.

My Strategy worked

My strategy was to do a lot of damage with the Deeplurker. With little mana available, I chose the Cruel Sethropod as a small tank, fitting well into this lineup.

Meine Strategie bestand darin, mit dem Deeplurker viel Schaden anzurichten. Da ich nur wenig Mana zur Verfügung hatte, wählte ich den Cruel Sethropod als kleinen Tank und passte somit gut in diese Aufstellung.

What do I think about the Cruel Sethropod ?

It is an excellent little tank that is used very often. 🦐
