The lower bronze league is currently full of players using Venari Wavesmiths. Heck, even bots seemed to be using the popular and magical rat lady.
If you're a bronze leaguer and you're not using Venari Wavesmith then you'll most likely lose most of your battles if faced one which is most of time since it's the current meta.
The introduction of Venari Wavesmith sure did change the landscape of the bronze league but it also made it a bit stale since most players would use the same strategy again and again.
I'm not really complaining though since I'm among those that abuse the meta. I do use other decks but most of the time I simply breeze through the battles with a rented Venari Wavesmith.
Only counter which I found so far if mana pool is in above 20, just use the green summoner that reduces the armour take unicorn mustang as first pick load your deck with snipes.
