Hey Summoners,

For this week's Challenge battle i bring you again....DRAGONS !!!

Dragon is one of my favorite splinter and this week's battle is an absolutely crushing domination from my end...this is what Dragon fights should be. Utterly dominating encounters with with their sheer firepower and strength. No wonder Dragons are boss encounters in many games.

Summoner - Byz Kitty

One of my favorite summoners in the game as i am a heavy Melee + Ranged user (hates magic) which can take advantage of True Sight. The +2 speed bonus is always very good, topped up with heals...no wonder this summoner is one of the most expensive Untamed card in the game.

The Battle Rules @ Gold 2

• 50 Mana
• Fire / Earth / Life / Dragon
• Melee attacks from anywhere
• Stampede - Trample can trigger multiple times (love this !!)

Strategy

Byz Kitty is easily the best choice for me on this because i do not have Gold leved Summoners for Fire and Life. Earth is a good alternative but Llama is not so effective on high mana cost. Kitty has the guaranteed hit going for it here as i plan to take advantage on putting some trample units as melee can hit from anywhere. It also has the plus points of Front Line heal and that godly +2 speed.

The Lineup

My take for the line up is to take advantage of the Stampede and Melee can attack from where. Since my creatures cant miss its a huge bonus. I also scouted my opponent before this and they are not a heavy magic user so i decided to ignore magic defense and go all out attack (i was right !!)

• Da Tank - Djinn Chwala
  This has been a superb tank addition to the Dragon lineup. My "go to tank" if i am confident that i wont be facing a magic line up.

• Mid DPS - Desert Dragon
  A new addition from Chaos Legion and a welcomed one for this Stampede Strategy. 4 Damage is not much to shout about though but its still a level 1. Haven't got the cards to try out a higher level but its useful here to take advantage of the Stampede ruleset.

• Mid DPS - Rexxie
  Rexxie Stomps, Trample....high damage...nuff said...Rexxie Stomps.

• Ranged DPS - Venari Seedsmith
  Another one of the new favorite Green Ranged card. Decent damage for its cost but an added bonus of having Poison. Slow death incoming. And if it stays alive long enough it can be hard to kill due to the scavenge ability.

• Ranged DPS/Support - Spirit of the Forest
  Superb support. Gonnna miss her when the new Mordern format comes. She gives everything...heals, Snipe DPS, Armor and super hard to kill due to the dodge.

• Backline Thorns Tank/DPS - The Vigilator
  Vigilator rules in these melee/sneak/opportunity ruleset as this beast can attack 4 times !!! Good backline positioning as it has thorns also.

I must admit i did not have a good feeling about this as the double Demoralize perfectly counters my Melee+Trample focused lineup. I will just have to rely on attrition from the heals and dodge on my side to wear them down

Start of Round 2 my tank taken quite a bit of hit which is good as the thorns will be chipping away on the other side's armor. I also have double heals which will heal him/her back to 10 hp, so i am not too worried there. I see a glimmer of hope also as the Seedsmith's first hit procs the poison debuff !!

Round 3, their tank is dead and mine is still alive...partly due to the Enrage which boost the Djinn's speed a bunch. Got 2 critical miss from them, got a feeling it wont be alive much longer. Just need to eat thru those demoralize units so my melee attacker can start contributing again.

Round 4 with 1 of the Demoralize unit dead my melee attack is boosted, easily taking down the Lava Launcher. My tank did its job already by standing tall for 3 rounds, returning some damage too along the way. The Vigilator gonna make short work of the Goblin Mech too. This what u get with Kitty, Speed > All.

Still in Round 4 with my vastly superior speed i took down 2 more creatures before that even have a chance to move. Its GG and all over with a surprisingly dominant victory.

Conclusion & VICTORY

Quite a satisfying battle for me as i managed to edge this by some very critical tank dodges in round 2 and 3. Dragon is my 2nd most used Splinter so surely it will be used again. Byz Kitty's Speed and heals came in very handy and clutch in this battle. From the battles, i always like to mix units around to take advantage of the ruleset and this is no exception !
