Silenced Summoners: Save your Mana!

For our battle challenge this week, we have the silenced summoners ruleset. The ruleset eliminates all abilities a summoner would give for this matchup. That generally means you play your lowest mana summoner at the highest level. For instance, if I have a three cost lorna shine and six cost rathe that are both at gold level I would play the lorna shine every time in this ruleset. That saves mana for your monsters and allows more powerful ability monsters to be played. For this ruleset there is really not any other strategy other than what was mentioned above so there will not be a strategy breakdown. We will get right into the battle breakdown for this reason. Round 1

We have the silenced summoner ruleset as mentioned along with divine shield and cripple. Those rulesets call for blast damage as well as making healed monsters less effective. In round 1, I get a few lucky misses on his forgotten one retaliating but then unlucky with his one speed sandworm eliminating my taunt monster. The redemption was important as it removed all his divine shield on the other side. We will see if that is the difference moving forward.

Round 2

In round 2, his forgotten one goes down however my last stand tinderlock also goes down to his targeted sneak play. I am still looking good at the front with my minotaur however worried about the back line with squishy monsters back there.

Round 3

My speed starts to pay off as his tank goes down along with his elven cutthroat putting his sandworm on the front not allowing my fire demon to go down this round. There is also a nice miss on my tank from his sandworm and things are looking very good here.

Round 4

Again just too fast compared to my opponent as his sandworm and uraeus go down before they can fire and it is all over in round 5 with my tank and void dragon along with the sneaky flame imp take care of business.

Dragon is important as well in this ruleset as it gives you more access to higher ability monsters given the silence from the summoners. Both strategies were done well given the rulesets but speed and redemption were the big differentiator in my opinion. Please upvote or comment if you enjoyed this content or have any other strategies for this ruleset.
