In this battle mage secrets challenge, we have the what doesnt kill you ruleset which is otherwise known as the enrage ruleset. High speed and high damage are key but not all damage is created equal. As you will see in the match below, targeted damage as well as high speed magic damage can be back breaking for your opponent. First, let us get into a few strategies for this ruleset and then we will breakdown a battle using one of the strategies. Strategies:

1: Phase: Naturally high speed is needed in this ruleset as well as resilient monsters who can withstand an attack while benefitting from the enrage boost. Magic gets around all of that for the most part as it will hit every time without phase monsters no matter the speed and go under any regular shields. You can also pair phase with a high speed and dodge monster to give yourself the best chance to avoid any damage from your opponent and make it very difficult to win.

2. Rust and Inspire: IF there is a melee based attack, ensuring you have heavy damage to eliminate your opponent in one hit while also avoiding shields are important. This also gives a better chance for your high melee attackers to hit after they have been enraged as the worst thing is a seven or eight melee monster hitting one shield for no damage.

3. True Strike: If all else fails and you cannot match your opponents speed, true strike monsters or the trusty Kitty can always be a good play in this matchup. It counters any strategy they may have had to dodge your hits and backfires a high damage low health DPS team from your opponent.

Now let us get into the battle breakdown. I went with the phase play here which was very timely given the magic play on the other side. In round 1, we trade shots and both of our tanks are enraged by the end of the round. His taunt is about to go down which will allow me to take out his mustang and the void along with it.

Round 2

The plan is beginning to work as my high speed monsters are hitting while my lurker is doing work dodging all over the place. His taunt slipspawn goes down and now it is time to take on the mustang. His peryton will prove to be difficult for my snipe monsters but the spirit of the forest has high speed and flight along with the peryton which made prove the difference.

Round 3

My team continues to wittle the opponent down but naturally the resurrect is proving to be annoying to deal with leaving his high speed monsters a few more chances to dodge. The lurker is still standing strong and still has a resurrect left in the bag.

Round 4

A big miss for my lurker allows me to finish off his mustang and his peryton the first time without issue. This will bring the disintegrator to the front which will make it tough to for him to deal damage against the eight speed dodge lurker.

Round 5

No miss this time but it does not matter as the damage has been done to this point. My gold dragon was key here as I was able to eliminate his peryton and pretty much the last real damage threat for his side with the blast damage. It is all over at this point as his low speed monsters will not be enough and after a few more rounds it is all over.

Phase is obiviously a powerful ability however it really pulls its weight in this ruleset. This is why sthispa is an underrated summon in my opinion as outside of jacek and kitty it can really be a mismatch for the oppponent as those auto magic hits are not so auto anymore. Please upvote or comment if you enjoyed this breakdown or have any other strategies for this ruleset.

I always fail to utilize phase in a good way. This is definitely a good example of doing so!
Nice write-up!
