I think putting some money into Gold cards isn't necessarily a bad thing. There are some brawl frays that are gold only as well as tournaments. Since the GF cards are more scarce, there is likely more opportunity to rent them out.

Agreed, I have many Golds from Chaos Legion and have purchased many more outside of pack pulls. The do rent very well!
I have been sticking to those frays in my guild just because I got so many of them from CL. Those fray's usually don't fill up as much either, so I figure I am doing the least damage to our chances of winning there.
If and when I start playing again, I can get into my old guild (hopefully). The Brawls were good fun, although I was crap at them.. and lost too many, even having all the cards.
There are some good players out there. It can be tough. Getting the Gladius cards can really make a difference in the outcome of your battles. If they don't take you back I can probably find you a place in our guild.
Thanks for the offer. Let's see how the new system works. I wouldn't mind playing again, if its worthwhile.
