Final Rest erases the enemy's last hope - No Martyr, No Redemption, no Comeback!

The final rest ability is one of the gruesome abilities we have on Splinterlands now. It can completely ruin strategies. It has worked great for me when I use it, and it has been the reason I lost some battles when I didn't expect the opponent to use it.

This ability is not common; only one monster still possesses it, and the name of the monster is Craniax the Quick, a death splinter card... Aside from Craniax, no other monster possesses this amazing ability, but I believe we might have some other monsters in other splinters possessing the ability with the coming new cards, it could be the conflict card or the new mini set expected in December... It would be nice to have more monsters with the ability.

_{How does the final rest ability work}

When a monster with a final rest ability is used, abilities that trigger after death become useless. The likes of redemption, Martyr, Rebirth, and Resurgence no longer work! The only monster that is free from the power of Final Rest is Heloise the hollow, and this is because she was given a special ability called Last word which provides immunity to Final Rest.

It is heartbreaking to set a team only to see that the opponent uses the final rest ability; you lose hope even before you check out the final result of the battle. This is exactly what happened in a battle I had with Thebadwitch today.

So we were paired in a battle with 3 rules.

The first rule indicates that all magic and range attacks have snipe, which makes them attack the first non-melee monster behind the first position. The second monster indicates that only 4 monsters can be used, while the last rule indicates that all monsters have the cripple ability, which permanently reduces the target's health by 1.

No lies, the opponent came with a good strategy, but unfortunately for him, I used the monster with the Final Rest ability, which ruined his plan.

The opponent used the life splinter, and his strategy was to use Moribund Arrowbait bloodline tribute ability to boost the stats of his team so they can be more powerful to defeat me. He even used another monster with the resurrectto triple the number of times Moribund will be born again. Unfortunately for him, My Craniax made that strategy impossible; the final rest ability renders it useless.

My Formation

Just 4 monsters can be used, and I came up with a weird lineup! The opponent must also wonder why I used such a formation, cos it is unlike me to use Barashkukor in the first position.

BarashKukor was my tank and I used it because I predict there won't be much pressure or target on the tank cos of the Target practice rule, Barash would be able to defeat the opponent tank with his 6 magic power, my second monster was Nalara Geinek which I believed would be the target cos of the snipe ish and it has two abilities that weakens magic monsters [ silence and void]. This helped a great deal in the battle, as the opponent's plan was to destroy me with his magic monsters.

Craniax the Quick was my third monster and the one that ruined the opponent formation by making it impossible for his team's rebirth and resurrection ability to trigger the bloodline tribute. My last monster was Kelan Gaines, a monster with double strike, which I relied upon to take down the opponent team, and it was able to eliminate 3 out of the 4 monsters the opponent used.

It was a flawless victory and this was only possible because of the Final rest ability of Craniax.
