@azircon gave me some good advice regarding splinterlands. He simply told me to go ahead and get a spellbook. It cost $10 USD, but all the stuff u get by buying is totally worth it! 😉👊
One thing I got was 5 packs of 'cards'.. 5 cards per pack and would u just look at em.. I got me a rare.. the odds of that are NOT good.. so I already got very lucky! and I still got 4 more packs to open. :)
Here's a vid I found that explains why any new splinterlands player should go ahead and buy a spellbook. In the vid, its explained everything u get which is already worth $5 but then buying a spellbook also unlocks a few really cool stuffs. Its totally worth it. Don't wait.. there will be no better time..

I've got some packs, cards and the spell book some time ago.
However, I could never make the time to get into the game in depth. I haven't even come around to open any packs yet.

Never I think, there's always new stuff goin on.. at least it seems is too big to fail now.. time will tell.
