This week I find myself with a new challenge, which was somewhat complicated because the Ground Splinter is not my best deck, but I love these weekly challenges and it is because they test me in every way, it forces me to improve on the battlefield, in addition to using each and every one of my cards in order to achieve the much desired victory.
I'm also really happy, it's been a really amazing week around @splinterlands, as they've taken a lot of really good updates to the game, plus they've added incredible new cards from the rewards edition that help strengthen our card decks for battle.
Now, let's get down to the challenge and the detail of what my battle was this week...
To many it may not seem like a great card, but I am one of those who do not despise any of them, since they all have a use in the field, even if they do not possess an incredible skill that makes them shine. This level 1 card, as I possess it, does not have a prominent skill that gives me an advantage on the field, but what I like about it is its low mana and a very good 5-heart health that makes it a pretty useful range shooter.
Finding the right moment for my battle wasn't easy, since I'm in the Diamond I league and with only level 1 cards, it's really hard to win any battle. So I had to be patient in order to find a suitable opponent and a set of rules that would allow me to make the most of my Ground Splinter.

- Weak Magic Magic attacks hit Armor before reducing Health.
- Little League Only Monsters & Summoners that cost 4 Mana or less may be used in battles.
 | Wizard of Eastwood This was the summoner I used for my battle, it's the only one I currently have, so I had no more options in this regard, it came as a surprise, since my opponent used a Dragon summoner that gives all his team 1 shield point and my Wizard counteracts this ability by removing all his cards 2 shield points less, which gave me an advantage. |
 | Furious Chicken Because it was a low mana battle, I had no options to place a good tank in the battle, so I just thought I'd place a decoy for my opponent and give myself enough time for the rest of my cards to attack my opponent directly. |
 | Spirit Shaman A great card, really useful, especially for low mana battles like this one. I placed it in second position as a backup tap, due to its ability called "Divine Shield", which on the first attack you make, it is totally ignored. This position was also ideal, because while my "Furious Chicken" was receiving the first attack from my opponent, my "Shaman" was hitting his first card, giving me much more time for my team in the baseline to attack. |
 | Khmer Princess The third card of my formation, basically does not have a special skill that allows him to stand out in this opportunity, all I needed from this card was his magic attack, in order to directly damage the health of my opponent's cards, while my Chicken and Shaman gave him enough time to achieve his attack. |
 | Wood Nymph I decided to place this card in the 4th position because of its great skill called "Tank Heal", which cures my card in health in the first position. If my cards in the first position, especially my "Spirit Shaman", suffer any damage, my Nymph's ability is activated, giving me even more time to attack. |
 | Barking Spider The last letter of my training and really useful for battles of this kind of very low mana. Its great health of 5 hearts, gives protection to my other cards on the baseline, in case my opponent thought of using a monster with the ability of "Sneak". My Barking Spider also attacks from a distance, so it would damage my opponent's cards, giving me a total of 4 attack cards with only 3 of my opponent's cards. |
Although it was complicated to fulfill this challenge with level 1 cards for my Ground Splinter, I had enough patience to be able to devise a strategy that would fit the rules of the battle, in that sense, my strategy worked correctly, basically I just thought of placing cards with magic attack and rank according to my mana limit, also the order and skills of the cards I used, allowed me to counteract their play.
For another opportunity I hope to improve my ground equipment and be able to explore more in detail the power it possesses. There are many strategies that can be implemented, basically the one I used was one of them, exclusive for battles with this kind of low mana rules.
I wasn't very familiar with this splinter, I really thought I couldn't participate in this challenge @carrieallen made it difficult for us hahaha. Thanks to this challenge I could find its usefulness, before this I didn't use it, but as I said, these challenges force you to improve and really detail your cards so you don't waste any of your deck.
