Splinterlands - Social Media Challenge - The Legend of Doctor Blight

How are things at your end with recent changes with regards to SPS staking as a means to decide the rewards for Splinterlands battles?

Well, I have been hit a bit as my Diamond level deck is getting reduced rewards with around 37K SPS I have staked and yes, just like many others, I am also deciding to battle it out in Gold leagues from next season onwards!!!

Here I am sharing a battle detail with One of the legends of the battle, Doctor Blight used as One of the cards and I would like to explain why I like it a lot in little MANA or even in higher MANA cap battles.

I am sure most of us already know the capabilities of Doctor Blight and it's usefulness in the battles we fight.

I preferably use it more in low MANA cap battles to have more benefit from it.

Let's see the stats for this awesome monster!!!

At 4 MANA cost, it's One of the best cards with abilities like affliction, camouflage, poison, scavenge and slow and it's 2 magic attack when combined with Obsidian summoner, increases to 3 and can be a dangerous customer.

It has a max of 4 health (but it can extend with scavenge ability) with a constant speed of 1 and can have 2 or more magic attack based on with which summoner we use.

Here I present a battle where, the Doctor Blight played a major role in the win I had!!!

This battle was with 18 MANA cap and had the rule sets like aim true, cripple and even stevens and since Earth splinter monsters were enabled to be used in the battle, I went ahead with it and used a lineup as below.

Lineup:

1. Failed Summoner:

In low MANA battles, Failed Summoner is one of the best with it's magic reflect and demoralize abilities and it's One of the most used monsters by me.

2. Fungus Fiend:

Used this in Second position to have a bit more defense if there is any blast monsters used as I had planned to use 3 magic attack monster to follow this.

3. Doctor Blight:

Doctor Blight gives that solid attacking monster with whole lot of abilities which makes you to use this often and especially in low MANA battles, this can be more than just a magic attack monster as it gets more health with each monster dies on either side of the battle.

4. Queen Mycelia:

Wanted couple of armors for any melee and ranged attack and felt this is a good One with it's 2 magic attack as well and can triage the Second line monsters with reducing the armors if any the opponent's monsters have.

5. Khmer Princess:

The tank healer with those 2 magic attack at just 2 MANA cost is something you can't resist to use in this 18 MANA cap battle, isn't it?

6. Acid Shooter:

Another 2 MANA cost monster with poison and scattershot abilities and was responsible to take out the dangerous Naga Assassin.

So, that's what the lineup and a bit of introduction about Doctor Blight and here I am sharing few screenshots from the battle just give a flair of it.

We have Hundreds of monsters in Splinterlands but we don't use all of those and most of the time, we stick to a standard set of monsters which we keep re-using.

Doctor Blight is One such monster for me and I am happy to be having it to occupy One of those 6 slots!!!
