Splinterlands Mobile App: It's back?
Greetings everyone, as some of you may know I've been picking up spl a lil bit on and off here playing bits of survival mode when I can (it's a rather interesting format strategically for large collection holders I've been enjoying it thusfar), but something else has reignited my interest in Splinerlands aswell.... the mobile app has returned! and it's honestly pretty good (and potentially the best crypto gaming mobile app available at the moment, given that the threshold for that is extremely low this is still a nice milestone).
New and Improved: UI polished and shiney
The UI looks pretty good and it consumes WAY less data than trying to run the website through keychain (an absolute insane data guzzler for reasons I still don't understand and frankly make me question how efficiently it's built to be honest, at least when it comes to the mobile app). The application is the best I've ever seen it, despite being tardy to the party it's definitely a welcome development.
Full range of in game features available
Brawlin' Anytime, Anywhere:
You can FINALLY brawl in the mobile app, making attending and actually participating in brawls MUCH easier and smoother of an experience. This has been a desired feature since the game has been available on mobile as an app since it's last release.
Land on the go:
This rollout was actually rather unexpected, but certainly appreciated. Being able to harvest and manage land without having to boot up a computer is certainly an efficiency booster and timesaver. Even though the land management system has changed and honestly been another "we demand more and more and more and more" sort of whale milking endeavor it is nice to see the ability to click the buttons on mobile. Kudos team.
Full Inventory Access:
Now you can actually check ALL Splinterlands assets and track them within the mobile app, this might not seem like the biggest takeaway from the new and improved Splinterlands mobile app but it certainly is a massive improvement for anyone who isn't just renting to extract value for the
ecosystem.
Talking Tidbits: The return of more than the mobile app
I'm shocked to be frank. I honestly never expected Splinterlands to put work back in to mobile, the game or any sort of quality of life features. Again, it's all a bit too little too late to have retained the major portion of web2 gaming spenders that left due to the game itself not really being focused on when the iron was hot, and after what happened with bot farms being run by the development team and a bunch of other "grey at best" practices it's unlikely for them to return either. Trust comes on foot and leaves on wings. There is a reason I have stopped recommending ANY crypto game to people I know in real life, and it's due to repeated instances of devs "taking the money and running". I also don't forget all of the other influencers, "crypto people", and developers that scammed their audience (inside and outside of HIVE) and conned this community when it was profitable to do so. Now I see most of them resurfacing and streaming on different platforms, appearing as guests on podcasts here on HIVE, and even launching new (what will most likely be) pump and dump projects. Let's not forget Splinterlands took millions upon millions of dollars in profit and squandered it on hiring "bros" to animate swords on salary and bored apes, they aren't clean in this either. They finally have an app with features, despite having the means to slam this shit out almost instantly at the time actually putting profits back into the game.
It's surreal seeing how much of a goldfish memory HIVE has about most of these things despite them being immutable and onchain forever. I understand why the scammers seem to come back time and again. Nobody seems to remember the wrongs they have done and just want to buy buy buy for the potential to maybe make some money. Alternatively, some people have them as a guest on their podcast because they are "known on HIVE" and the host is desperate for mediocre youtube views. When you guys behave like goldfish in a barrel like this can you really blame scammers/conmen for coming back for seconds, thirds and fourths? It's kindof uncanny how HIVE doesn't learn from it's mistakes sometimes, and I'm not going to name names in this post either since this was moreso meant to be a "mobile is here, it's good" post. Not "the scammers and conmen are also back" post (that's coming a bit later).
I'm just going to leave it at this. Trust is earned, but on the blockchain it can be sold to the highest bidder and often is. Don't trust someone "voguing" for someone else without thoroughly vetting them, many people will say anything if it also lines their own pockets (even "crypto experts"). Splinterlands may see some upward action in this next bull cycle, expect all the same scammers to come back miraculously to exploit a new influx of money (some of you may even think some of them really "did all they could and just failed to deliver"). Don't be fooled again, not your keys not your crypto. There are no "Free money glitches" or "guaranteed profits". If the economic cycle of a token/game is too good to be true or absolutely makes no sense you are probably right. If they can't answer your questions about "where the money comes from" or "why does this earn" it's a ponzi and hell, you might just be positioned correctly to profit as oppose to being exit liquidity. But don't get lost in the smoke and mirrors. I'm transparent with all my actions here on HIVE and in general, all my decisions and why they are made and when things start to look suspect are all public knowledge. I'm the first to post about it even though it isnt easy being the bearer of bad news. Integrity is more important for me, not hyping my bags. Stay safe out there Battlemages, and I'll see you in the Splinterlands.

Glad to see that SPl upgraded the mobile UI to support all the basic features of the game, like brawling, engaging with land and full inventory access. Thanks for sharing this news with fellow Spl players. Good post, keep playing and growing.
This is pretty cool
