The team has released two new promotion cards. This is to celebrate the Bitcoin halving event which occurs every four years.
The Splinterlands halving Promo Sale started on the 16th of April. The event runs for 15 days and you can buy the two new limited edition cards with DEC or Credits. There is also a 50% discount using vouchers.
We have one legendary Baron Fyatt and one rare Henchling Enforcer. Both are dual elements and have the Halving ability. If you are a real collector you will want to hold onto these cards
They both have some great stats that will help you to win battles and increase your win rate. The main ability is the halving ability
The Price of the card is the number of bitcoins that will now halve the reward for minting a new block of 3.125 BTC
Henchling Enforcer costs 3,125 DEC/Credits.
Baron Fyatt costs 31,250 DEC/Credits.
This is further reduced by 50% if you have vouchers
They will go up in value and you can check this by looking at the previous promo cards. They have held their value a lot more than regular cards. My favourite card is Doctor Blight, this is such a powerful card in the game and holds its value.
You will have a 4% chance of getting a Gold Foil. The sale will guarantee that you receive at least one Gold Foil version of the card for every 25 cards purchased in a single transaction. A quick hack is to buy them in batches of 25 if you want more than 25 that is.
There is also a chance to win prizes for every 10000 DEC/Credits spent. Prizes range from plots, packs and Runis, the chance to win a runi is worth it in my book. As opposed to buying the card on the peer-to-peer market.
These Promo cards will be worth keeping for the long term. They will be good to use in battles, they will give you an advantage in the game above players that don't own these cards. How many will you buy?

Yes, this is true, we are hitting the very lows in card values currently. However I did make a big disservice to to my post by failing to mention the promo card that started my splinterlands journey and that is the “chain golem” I bought the kickstarter that offered a max level regular foil and one gold foil.
Please cast your analytical skills over this promo card and project the future of current card value’s going forward.
Sure nobody has a crystal ball to predict the future, but when the hype and fomo starts it will make all of us players very wealthy.

I'm not sure about that promo card but for most of the others it's not looking good. Even beta and alpha cards took a hit. We really lacking the demand tahts for sure ; ;. You're right no crystal ball but we know there will be 2 possible scenarios. we either go up or down from here :')
