BATTLE MAGE SECRETS ✶ HOLY PROTECTION ✶ SECOND GO

The ruleset for this week's challenge

• Holy Protection - All units gain the Divine Shield ability which reduces the damage of the first attack received to 0

The ruleset that I managed to get

• Rulesets - Fog of War, Holy Protection & Weak Magic
• Mana Cap - 25
• Active Elements -

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Immortalis

• With the ruleset that I got I decided to got with Immortalis just because I though if Fog of War was active my enemy has to play some magic monsters
• And if not -1 hp and Shatter are not the worst buffs either

1st Position: Mycelic Infantry

• Mycelic Infantry was my main tank for this battle
• Main reason I like Mycelic Infantry here a lot is his Shield ability
• Shield - Reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks

2nd Position: Furious Chicken

• Nothing really to say here other than why not play him he costs 0 mana

3rd Position: Fungus Fiend

• Another 0 mana cost melee monster
• Main reason for both of them was just to tank some hits if it comes to them to tank

4th Position: Mushroom Seer

• Next up in line is Mushroom Seer
• Even tho you don't get a lot of stats for 5 mana you do get the Silence ability which I really like
• Silence - Reduces the Magic attack of all enemy Units by 1

5th Position: Wood Nymph

• Wood Nymph was my healer for this battle
• Main reason I like Wood Nymph so much is how cheap she is
• Tank Heal - Restores a third of max health to the Unit in the first position each round

6th Position: Goblin Dartling

• Goblin Dartling was my backline tank for this battle
• Goblin Dartling isn't anything special but for 3 mana he cant tank some hits at least and maybe deal a couple of damage himself

Starting board

• The starting board looked quite in my favor because my Silence + Void made his Riverboat Captain totally useless and also his Coastal Sentry was going to deal 4 damage per round with Martyr buff from with I heal 3 every round
• So basically if I manage to kill his Coastal Sentry before 10 rounds this battle is in a bag
• but to find out lets start it up and have a look

Here's how the battle went

1st Round

• After 1st Round my enemies Coastal Sentry was buffed already but I felt super comfortable

2nd & 3rd Round

• After 3rd Round my board was still looking almost as healthy as in the beginning
• Also I managed to take down my enemies Coastal Sentry in two rounds
• Which now means my enemy doesn't have any damage left to turn the battle around

4th Round

• In the 4rd Round my enemies Riverboat Captain finally died and now it was just down to defeating the last standing monsters
• As hes damage was 1 and my Mycelic Infantry had Shield it was just a waiting game when was he gonna fall

5th Round

• It took me 2 turns to kill my enemies last standing monster
• After his Torrent Fiend had fallen I took the victory

Summary

• This battle was definitely heavily one sided but still fun to watch
• I believe the strategy to take away from this battle is the Shield and Void + Tank Heal ability combo
