Disintegrator Challenge

The lore for this week's card is straight from the Frankenstein novel. A creature made from various bodyparts of different species, marked by previous attempts to bring it to life and finally awakened by some mysterious crystals the shady Chaos Agent dealer had in his coat. Let's check it out!

Stats

The man-slaughtering Disintegrator is not bound to any splinter and known for weakening the moral of its enemies. At level 1 this starter card gives access to the demoralize ability, and whilst not tanky enough to fit most frontlines, it gains trample, knockout and retaliate at higher levels, which makes it even more usefull for fighting off sneaky attacks in the backline.

Ruleset

Plenty of mana and almost all splinters playable, that's the basis for our game. Broken arrows calls for a heavy anti-melee or anti-magic comp, so it's a coinflip between Mylor and Owster.

Lineup

The OG Mylor-Fleshy combo never gets old, although it has lost a lot of its power due to Obsidian beeing a pretty strong counter.

I even have the skin for this card, that's how much I love to play it...

I was expecting a melee spam and therefore needed a shield ablity to counter it, so I went for the Mycelic Infantry as a secondary tank.

Whoever bought this card before the Chaos Legion release is a happy bunny now. 20$ for a rare reward card even outclasses the ridiculous Wavesmith prices we've seen in the first weeks of the new reward cards release. As ~~everybot~~ everybody is spamming the Obsidian it became an incredibly valuable counter to the new earth meta.
No arrows also tremendously increases the chance of melee lineups and demoralize in combination with shield has such a strong synergy. In melee-only rulesets this card is a no-brainer, but even in no-magic or broken arrows this card is usually incredibly usefull.
One of the first Splinterlands cards I have ever seen. I think Simplymike did a giveaway for a Goblin Mech back in the days. It's super weak against magic, but there's plenty of mana to spend and it can use the opportunity ability, so why not put this guy in there?
Big damage and tanky. Gotta spend that mana somehow.

Unfortunately my opponent had the same idea and managed to take out my Disintegrator and Mushroom Seer pretty fast with the help of equal opportunity. Due to the melee debuff it took some time to take out the enemy monsters and without Mylor it would have most likely been a different outcome. Also the magic spam did hurt a lot, but in the end the flying Nectar Queen managed to take out the annoying Regal Peryton and won the game.
This gives an idea on how strong the Disintegrator in combination with a shield can be.

Just for fun I also tried to use the card as a main tank in a low mana bronze match and was actually able to win:

It didn't even make use of its ability, so maybe the Disintegrator & Mylor combo might be a nice niche pick...
