Happy Monday everyone and welcome to the my weekly HSBI giveaway for the Splinterlands community!

As I had already imagined and as I described in the last giveaway, the time had finally come last week: The latest expansion Conclave Arcana was officially announced and with great success. The most exciting are probably the new Black Foils and Arcane cards. And after the announcement, the price of SPS has risen considerably and is still rising. Let's see where this goes, I'm definitely very optimistic for the future.

Answers to the last Question:

Last week's question was "Which card do you like to play, but you generally think is underrated?". This time, seven people took part and answered the question. Let's have a look at some of your answers.

@h4rr1s: "I really like Katrelba Gobson. I often use Lobb Lowland to play it in regular battles and many times it ends up killing the whole enemy alone."Katrelba.PNGKatrelba Gobson is definitely a really strong card. Especially thanks to the combination of the abilities Sneak, Double Strike and above all Bloodlust. However, it is often preferred to Quora Towershead if a Conscript Summoner is played, which is somewhat understandable as Quora is simply overpowered.
@silentriot: "Hmmm definitely hard question as there are a few for me that fit this description but one major one that comes to mind is Serpent of Eld. Absolutely love using this card in mele only, sneak, opportunity, or any way you can make use w/o much or any fear of Magic damage! Extra poison chance is always a +"Serpent.PNGSerpent of Eld has almost been forgotten by me since the card is no longer available in Modern. I cursed it back when I started with Splinterlands, especially because of the high speed value and the Dodge ability. I don't think there's a card that I've missed as much as Serpent of Eld.
@squirrelacus: "Pelacor Mercenary I think as a reward card its a pretty solid choice. And since so many were printed I think many people just disregard it."Pelacor Mercenary.PNGPelacor Mercenary is probably actually underrated, simply because it's just a very cheap common reward card. But as soon as Pelacor Mercenary gets the ability Heal, it's more than a solid tank. And the other abilities and stats are also really useful.
@beelzael: "Runeseer Sevaya - that's a really nasty card, especially in combination with Weapons-Training from Rage and in Combination with the Summoner Sthispa, another underrated card. Phase is quite powerful, if used right ;-)"Runeseyer.PNGI can well imagine that Runeseer Sevaya is not on the radar of many players, even though she is really versatile and strong. Maybe that's because she's part of the Rebellion set and a lot of people don't have those cards. She's not cheap either. But definitely a strong card from the Dragon Splinter.

One card that I find rather undervalued, but I really like to play and find strong is Barashkukor. Even though it's very expensive to play, the five Magic Attack are just really strong. You have to protect the card well in your lineup, of course, since Barashkukor is a glass cannon, but then you can utilize the full potential of its attack power. I also think the card is strong right from the first level, as the upgrade only gives it defensive stats and the new abilities aren't that strong either.

And the Winner is...

It's time to draw the winner of the last giveaway.

How to enter:

Every week there is a question or a task to fulfill. The question or task will always be related to Splinterlands. To participate, you must post a comment under this blog answering the question or completing the task. That's all.

This week's question is...

How many Conclave Arcana Packs will you try to buy during the pre-sale and why?

I'll try to post the giveaway every Monday, so you have about a week to enter, at the latest until the next part of the giveaway is published and the winner is announced there. The winner will be drawn at random and will receive one HSBI share sponsored by me.

I'll be spending $400, Planning to buy standard packs so looking at 100 packs as I will have to buy with credits at the moment, I have picked up a little SPS before the spike but have staked that for extra ranked rewards.

Sticking to standard packs just to get the highest number of cards I can although after the pre sale I may look at picking legendary packs up and open them when the airdrops have all been done (unless there are some must have legendries in the initial cards)

On the question: I'll probably start out buying around 100 packs, the normal ones. After that, I'll see. I've been saving up for a while, and I really hope I'm going to get some luck this time :-)

I don't know how many I will try to buy because I have some SPS reserved for them but it depends on the value SPS reaches. Other than that, I have about 1M DEC that I can use for packs

Wooohooo, thank you so much! Now I have to look up what that HSBI is... :-D

No problem! Basically HSBI gives you upvotes on your blog posts. It is described a little bit more at the bottom of my blog.

I'll have a look! Where do I find that HSBI now? Is it on my Hive engine?

It is not a Hive Engine token. You can find your Hive SBI balances at https://www.hivesbi.com

Thank you very much! THe last page I found didn't work, this one does 😊

I've been playing Splinterlands again after stopping for two years, so to answer your question, I think I might not buy Conclave Arcana Packs for now since I'm still feeling the vibe of the game and it's community for now. Maybe after some time playing, I might buy other packs.

I'll probably buy like 30-40 packs in the pre-sale, depending how much DEC i can manage to get from my HBD and other reserves until then. Currently I'm not planning to spend any fiat on the pre-sale, but wait for the actual sale to maybe spend any new money on the game.

I'm not sure if I'll spend fiat during the pre-sale, but hopefully, I'll win enough SPS playing ranked to get a pack or two.

So I am skeptical if this sps price hike is just hype for the new set or the actual fly wheel kicking in. So that being said I am gonna wait on the presale. If I end up wanting the promo cards I can always try and pick them up early next year because the sale does run that long if memory serves me correct. And by then hopefully the new set hype will have died down and the single card prices will be at a more reasonable target area. I still want to see what else the splinterlands team delivers on. You release a new set okay what about the other things we have been told about.

Plus financially right now I can not afford to put more money into this game.

I have not decided yet how much, if at all I'll be participating in the CA presale or general sale other than buying packs to use as rewards for our private guild tournaments. Overall very excited/super hyped/bullish for the short & long term of the SPL Ecosystem, this would overall just be a financial decision so I could hopefully prepare myself to go hard on the next set & to focus on other opportunities/goals within the game & on Hive! 😊

im not sure yet maybe around 100packs or i will just wait for the cards to get cheaper before buying.

I think I'll buy one or two to try my luck, I haven't seen the cards that are coming out yet, so I don't know if it will be worth it.

I am not sure if I am gonna buy Conclave Arcana Packs or just wait for the cards to be listed on the market
