Did you know Splinterlands TCG game is expanding its free-to-play aspects? The latest change is designed to improve the free-to-play gaming experience of its current players as well as the incoming new players. This change is aligned with their campaign on the New Player Experience (NPE). For sure this will result in a big impact in retaining the incoming players. Who does not want a game that is more accessible, more rewarding, and enjoyable? Let this game strive for its greatness.
What’s New:
Earn Glint for every Ranked battle victory
Every player who wins a battle starting from the bronze league and above can now earn Glint tokens!
The base “modifier” for Glint is now 1x, and they even allow you to earn those glints without staking any amount of SPS.
Starter Card Penalty Removed
Using starter cards also now on the game can earn glints. They have removed the starter cards penalty where you don't have a chance of earning any if you have use this starter cards in a battle.
League Advancement Rewards for Everyone
Every player can now earn League Advancement Rewards, adding extra incentives to climb the ranks.
Spellbook-Free Access to Features
Joining guilds, purchasing Credits, and earning Glint from the ranked play is now possible without needing a Spellbook.
Additionally, new players can:
Receive packs/cards as gifts.
Participate in Brawls to earn Merits.
Combine and open cards.
Rent cards seasonally.
Buy rewards from the shop with Glint.

A Spellbook is still required to: sell cards, transfer cards, delegate cards, list cards for rent, hold Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) or Splintershards (SPS), enter a Tournament, create or own a guild, hit Jackpot rewards, access Land, access Soulkeep, and earn SPS rewards.
Land and Economy Updates
Spend Credits for Power Cores and Time Crystals - Players can now purchase these essential resources with Credits. To balance the economy, the company will burn Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) for every transaction.
