I have a dream...
One day, I'll hit my goal of reaching the Diamond league in Splinterlands.
I'm not very demanding either, I don't need Diamond 1 or 2...Just Diamond 3 is all I'm shooting for.
I've gotten close a few times, but to this day, I've yet to achieve my dream lol
But this season....I figured I would go all out and try to achieve it.
I ever did my homework throughout the season, I noticed everyone seemed to be beating me with a card that I did not have, so I ended up spending around 50 bucks and grabbed this...
Cool little card and has some big use case if you know how to play it properly...But here we are...Let me set the stage for you:
Around 5pm Last Night...
I get through my daily quest. It took a few minutes extra, but I breezed through it and way on my way to Gold 1.
So far so good...
I took a few hours off to do my 'Sports Nerds Show' and then jumped back online around 9pm.
And wow, I was crushing it...
I won a bunch of matches and before I knew it, I was about 20 points away from glory!
Just one more match to FINALLY hit Diamond 3.
And then, I ran into the gauntlet.
8 game losing streak and before I knew it I was like 150 points away from Diamond 3.
But I kept going...
And I got absolutely nowhere.
I'd win 1 match and then lose 2. Win 2 and then lose 2 more....
So much so that my DEC capture rate was down around 50%.
I just couldn't do it this season...
You win Splinterlands!!!!
I'm waving the white flag for this season. It's now 1am and with only about 5 hours left to go in the season...I'm done lol
I'll tell you what, when you hit these levels I dunno what they feed the players here but my goodness...I salute them all.
And you crazies in the higher leagues lol Just madness...
New season starts and my journey to Diamond will have to wait another day!
From what I noticed the more you play the worse it gets lately. There are a few explanations:
Ah so people can't win on their own, they have to have scripts to bear people? Knowing that this is going on, that takes the fun out of it. I thought the last game mechanic changes stopped allot of the bot action. That's why I started playing again. Guess I was wrong.
That will be reduced when they add the change to obscure the usernames of the opponents until both teams are submitted. Afterwards, even if one uses tools to gain insight about opponents, they are worthless, at least for the current battle.
Yeah I could sense I was just throwing teams up to try to get back into a few wins...That didn't work. I noticed a lot of them took their time to submit teams, so I almost guarantee they were using scripts to beat me.
Ahhh well.
I'm destined for Gold!!!! lol
I'm still in novice lol, one minute I make it to bronze then the next minute I fall out, it's difficult Mann...
Just completed my daily quest, my capture rate is around 70% and I think I'm done for the today 😂
It's super hard....Some of these players are way too good lol
Great story. I usually run into the guantlet at the first of the season and go backwards for a couple of hundred points. Then I have to change my mindset and can start winning some matches.
Now to remember what I changed my mindset to.... Was it think like a bot and counter them?

Yeah I dont really play much at the beginning of the season because everyone is lumped together and getting wins is tough.
haha I feel your pain, my man. This is why as soon as I hit Diamond III, I stop playing and rent out as many cards as I can (being careful not to drop my power level below the requirements for diamond III). I know if I keep playing I will be beaten down, so better just to sit.

Yeah it's really cool. Love the low mana too how it can sneak into almost any line up!
