Splinterlands: Rewards & Rants

in Splinterlandslast month

It is the end of another splinterlands season, in which I received approximately 38.9k glints. Multiply this by 2 to get approximately 77k actual glint rewards at the end of the season. I can not remember now, but I believe I earned roughly the same number of glint as I did last season, but the difference is that my SPS reward from two seasons ago is higher than that of last season.

The glints rewards are primarily based on how well I perform, and they occasionally include metrics that help me determine how well I performed. The decrease in SPS reward is concerning, though. Perhaps it is because I played in Diamond 3 and 2 throughout the season, I am not sure, but the SPS rewards are not encouraging.

I do not want to do the math to determine whether it is worth purchasing a wild pass to compete. I am basically trying to put the SPL assets I have to good use because I believe it will be better than renting them out. I also enjoy playing Splinterlands and competing in the Guilds. So, basically, I believe the cards I have are better off with me playing them.

My goal was 40k glints rewards and approximately 12 SPS average earnings per day; however, I did not meet this goal, and thus I consider the season a flop. Aside from real players, I believe modern players are also competing in Wild, as I mostly play max level cards and summoners at the start and end of the season. I am talking about the Diamond League, and it is been difficult to advance to the Champions League.

So I prioritized buying rate draws and common draws because it'll be easier to upgrade them. I didn't buy any legendary draws because I didn't want to gamble and get a card I already have. 25k is already over 40% of my total reward for the season. Although I didn't get anything spectacular, I just got enough to upgrade some of my common and rare cards, with some of my summoners already in level 7 and 8.

SPS is at its lowest.

In fact, it was the lowest I would seen since I began accumulating in 2021, and it was not even as bad as when the bear market was fully underway in 2022. It mostly demonstrates that the game is experiencing one of its worst periods since its inception, which is unfortunate.

Everyone wants the game to see some remission and recovery, and hopefully the team can secure funding and get back on track to correcting some of their mistakes.

So I heard that a new set of soulbound cards is coming to the game. This makes sense and is good to know. Unfortunately, I am missing a few cards from the current set of soulbound cards. They are about three, with the USUT being the most important.

The most recent reward system, which requires people to hustle for glints, has not been beneficial to me, and I have lost potential rewards as a result of the new system. However, this is what it is. The changes to Splinterlands have resulted in a significant loss of players, and I hope they realize this as soon as possible.

If the game cannot begin to attract players with positive changes prior to the bull run, it may be difficult for preexisting and loyal players to see their faith rewarded at the peak of the bull run. If these positive changes do not occur, even the $500k in prospective funding may not be sufficient to save the game.

Overall, it is Hive's largest flagship project, and we will continue to be sentimental about it and support it regardless. I do not want to subscribe to the notion that because it is a private business, it should operate independently; I believe it still brings its own hype and value.

The SPS earnings are very low with the depressed crypto market. It is a shame we cannot finish collecting our current soulbound cards and also not buy on the market as they will be silly expensive. The team seem to not focus on the community anymore and we see it with the rash decisions currently made.

I was hoping they can create a sort of soulbound market where players can go and sell their cards for more Glints and where players can go to buy them even they're not longer official being given as rewards.
Splinterlands needs big innovations, probably getting people who can actually make it happen for them. The rash decisions have been underwhelming for the game

Yeah, 55k DEC to unlock a reward card is very frustrating.

It's great you're upgrading your cards despite the challenges. I love your support for Splinterlands, and its very admirable. Hopefully, the game can recover with potential funding and strategic adjustments.

Thanks, hopefully, they get the funding they need..

Yeah, I hope so.

You can meet you goal of 12SPS daily in the next season
Keep it up!

Thank you

SPS prices really do suck right now and I'm not sure when they will recover right now. It worries me quite a bit...

It's good some new rewards cards are coming along, but I still am missing cards to max out many epics and legendary cards. USUT is one I have no problem with, it seems like that is the one I pull most often. I'm two cards away from maxing that one out! I hope you pick it up before they switch. The unlock fee is just so high I don't know how many will come up for sale.

If the game can't attract new players it may be in big trouble. I'm hoping they can pull it off!

People aren't making much money because of the price drop, but after a few worry-free months, we'll see everything costing more.

It's tough but Splinterlands is in a bad state. It's kind of known because of the DHF proposal, and I moved over to Modern due to my time constraints. I hope Splinterland changes things around but I do think that most changes recently has not attracted new players. It's a downside of them trying to regulate rewards for existing players and bots.

I think the company didn't prepare for a day like this and it's pretty unfortunate. I do hope they're learning. The DHF proposal wasn't the beginning, it's just been going wrong for a long time and it's now rock bottom.
