REBELLION REWARDS OVERVIEW - DRAGON & NEUTRAL SPLINTER

image.png

The 2 (two) Splinter which unique than the rest is the Dragon and Neutral Splinter. I'll cover them both together because there are only few addition of them compared to the other Splinters.

DRAGON EGG FORAGER

With the surge of Tanker cards coming from the various Splinter, Dragon Splinter also coming with a few addition of Tanker card. Dragon Egg Forager start with a sufficient amount of health for a Tanker, although it have a more balanced profile between health, damage, and speed. Opportunity should allow this card to focus on striking. But the growth gained up until Level 4, seemed to direct this card to took role of a Tanker. Especially with the Scavenger ability earned quite early.

Damage seemed to grow rather bit late which is consecutively on Level 7 and Level 8. This sudden growth changes in turn make Dragon Egg Forager have very different strategy approach on lower and higher league.

NIGHT REAPER

image.png

Another solid Tanker addition to the Dragon Splinter. But even so, Night Reaper have less health compared to other cards with 11 mana. The magic damage amount also quite standard for that mana cost. The 4 speed at initial level might be the best advantage of this card. Other than that, this is the first card to have Wingbreak ability, which make this card a must against flying opponent. In addition, having Flying ability and Wingbreak all together, Night Reaper is a must card under Earthquake ruleset.

Ascending from the initial level, Night Reaper gained only few in term of status profile. But the armor addition on Level 2 could give useful layer from physical damage.

Reflection Shield is insignificant addition compared to Last Stand. Especially with Last Stand gained on final level, this could change the whole game plan of this card.

SYRENTH

image.png

Devastating might be the exact word to describe Syrenth. For just 9 mana, you start this card with 4 damage and 9 health is a great advantage. And not only that, the combination of ability synergize very well. Taunt combined with Dodge and Return Fire could repel any incoming ranged card from barraging your formation.

Low speed might be the only weakness of Syrenth. Low accuracy could underutilize the already significant 4 ranged damage and Stun ability. But after all, Syrenth could rely very much on Return Fire to put damage.

TOKATAG CONSCRIPT

image.png

Its very difficult to rate Tokatag Conscript. Spending 6 mana for 1 ranged damage and 2 health is a costly decision. At this mana you could expect a much thicker health or at least 2 damage. The ability doesn't seemed to work coherently also. It has Sneak but only small damage, it has Thorn but the health is too thin to sustain.

Tokatag Consprint gained significant health as its progress. And the addition fo Backfire could backup Thorns ability. But still its a long way to go to have this card utilized properly.

UJURAK ELDER

image.png

Ujurak Elder has a great 'Support' roles combination. Strengthen and Swiftness help boost the formation very well. And since its cost only 3 mana, this card could easily comparable to Summoner effect. And with Camouflage and Divine Shield, this card doesn't need any hell to ensure its survivability.

CHAOS ADJUTANT

image.png

Chaos Adjutant is your regular magic card. The profile is a bit mediocre with no important ability. The parameter is quite balanced between damage, speed, and health. The additional damage and Poison ability add more firepower to this card.

Thus card are less favorite as a choice but could be a good altenative for magic card. And much more preferable if supported by summoner with magic damage buff.

HALFLING REFUGEE

image.png

This is an also devastatinv card and the the best value card to have. Halfling Refugee have a debilitation ability, which means it will be balanced with greater parameter. But compared to other debilitation effect (Electrified and Incendiary), Weary is the only negative side which didn't cause gradual damage. Therefor this card is useful for the long run game.

Costing only 1 mana for 2 melee damage and 6 health is such bargain despite the gradually reducing accuracy. But Weary could easily put aside due to other factors. Halfling Refugee gained health increase in later level and also Heal in Level 4. Its slowly transforming into a 'Tanker' card while keeping the powerful damage intact.

And the unique thing is this card always gained growth on each level, whereas other 1 mana card need 2 level step before any new growth gained.

CHAOS BATTLE MAGE

image.png

Chaos Battle Mage is very much similar to Syrenth. High damage and high health card with a handful of defensive abilities. This is the first one to have Rebirth and Redemption ability together. The high health with extra armor and Divine Shield place this card as a 'Tanker' for the last row.

VERDICT

In my own opinion, these will be the pecking order list of the cards above from the best to the least :

  1. Hakfling Refugee
  2. Syrenth
  3. Ujurak Leader
  4. Dragon Egg Forager
  5. Night Reaper
  6. Chos Battle Mage
  7. Chaos Adjutant
  8. Tokatag Conscript

Great and useful overview of the rebellion reward cards but next time remember to put your referral link in the post because it is a requirement of the contest and because a reader and possible new player reading a post about Splinterlands must be able to access the game easily
