Overview
Today I brought a battle with my favorite Summoner, because one of the ruleset removed all the abilities from the monsters on the battlefield, so it was really important to give them extra abilites, so they will have a huge advantage over their enemies.
My choosen Summoner was Yodin Zaku from the Fire Splinter, because as an Untamed Summoner he will increase two different stats and give one important ability to his monsters. 🤩
My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)
Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Back to Basics | Monsters lose all abilities. |
Briar Patch | All monsters have the Thorns ability. |
Blood and Sunder | All units gain the Corrosive Ward ability. |
The mana cap for my next battle is 59, which is more than enough to build a strong team with any monster that I have or like. Their will be a huge trick in this battle, because one of the ruleset is the Back to Basics, which means that none of the monsters will have any abilities on the battlefield, so it will be important to pick up the monsters using their raw stats power. 💪
The Briar Patch will help a bit for the ability confiscated monsters, because it will gives them the chance to reflect any melee attack that is targeting them. This ability will deal 2 damage back to their attacker if they were attacked by a melee mosnter.
The Blood and Sunder works exactly like the Thorns ability from the Briar Patch ruleset, but only affects the enemy armors and it will reduce the maximum armor of the target as well. 😜
My lineup
Yodin Zaku is one of the best Summoner in the whole game and in the Back to Basics rulesets he will shine even more. He will increase the ranged attack and health to all of his friendly monsters by one, but more importantly he will give the Blast damage to them as well, which will provide a huge amount of extra damage in every round. 😊 | |
I used the Tusk the Wide, because he cost only 6 mana and he ahs quite a lot of health, which is amazing to try to sustain as much as damage possible from the enemy team. 🤫 | |
The Forgotten One will be my second tank for this battle, because he has a lot of melee attack damage, but more importantly he has a lot of health and armor as well, which is amazing to protect my backline to maximise their attack damage. 😆 | |
Immortalis is a very expensive monster, mana wise and real money wise as well. He has a huge amount of magic damage and it is very difficult to mitigtate that especially in a battle where the monsters doesn't have any abilities. He also has a lot of health, so he is able to act as a tank as well. 😘 | |
The Lava Launcher cost 9 mana, but that is not an issue in this battle. He will have a lot of ranged attack damage, which will be further boosted by Yodin plus the Blast ability will allow him to deal a significant indirect damage as well. 😇 | |
The Blood Maker is another excellent ranged attack monster, who is also able to benefit from the buff that Yodin provides. He cost only 5 mana, but his power is a bit weaker than the other monsters that I used! 😄 | |
Rush Townsend cost 9 mana as well, and he has a lot of ranged attack, which is the perfect pair with Yodin. He has a lot of speed as well to ensure that he will attack first, so the Blast damage will deal deadly damage on the next monster of his target. 👍 |
The Battle
My opponent brought Franz Ruffmane, who was a reward Summoner and his speciality is that he is able to use one Gladiator monster in his team and also gives +1 armor to all of his friendly monsters. 😇
In the first round my team lost their first tank, because he was much weaker than his counterpart, but luckily I had another tank to replace him instantly, so soon after he died my team also killed their main tank and his off-tank had only one health remained thanks to our indirect Blast damage, so in the second round my team also killed him quickly. None of the other monsters died this round, but our tanks were close to dying.
The third round started perfectly, because Rush Townsend was the quickest out of our teams, so he quickly killed their tank and also managed to kill the monster behind her as well. Soon after I lost my Forgotten One, but at least my Immortalis had more than enough health to withstand the incoming enemy attacks.
As soon as my team killed their Captain Katie their was onyl one ranged attack monster left in their team, so it was easy to finish him off and win the battle. 💪
Battle Result
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy worked as I expected, because it is very difficult to beat an Untamed Summoner in normal circumstance. His extra firepower was something that it is very difficult to sustain for long term and my team almost killed two monster at once in every round. 😄
