Hello Splinterlands Community!
Let me share with you one of my battle in Brawl Arena.

Combat Rules

This is a Silver League Battle in Arena and only Chaos Legion and Gladius ( Gladiator) are available to use with a 42 mana cap battle.
The rules are Equal Opportunity (All Monsters have the Opportunity ability) and Little League ( Only Monsters & Summoners that cost 4 Mana or less may be used in battles).

Available splinters are Fire, Earth, Light and Dragon.

In guild battle, you can't see the past battle of your opponents. You can't predict what summoner and monsters he will be going to use in the battle.

HP And Speed are very important in this battle. My strategy in this battle is to pick a high HP monster but the rule Little League doesn't allow us. It is hard to find a monster with high HP in a 4 mana monster so we will focus on high-speed monsters, it will let us target the enemy's low HP monster first.

Line Up

MonsterPosition
General_Sloan-removebg-preview.pngGeneral SloanSummoner (+1 range attack) I choose light elements in this battle because I have a monster that suits well in this Little League rule.
Xenith Monk.pngXenith MonkTank(1 melee attack, 3 speed and 6 HP) with Heal Ability (Restores a portion of the Monster's health each round)
Sunkai_Harvester-removebg-preview.pngSunkai HarvesterOff-Tank (2 melee damage, 3 speed, 2 armor and 3 HP) with Reach Ability ( Melee attack Monsters with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team) but this ability won't affect in this battle because of Equal Opportunity rule.
Time_Mage-removebg-preview.pngTime MageSupport (2 magic attack, 4 speed and 3 HP) with Slow ability ( Reduces the Speed of all enemy Monsters).
Stitch_Leech-removebg-preview.pngStitch LeechDps/Sneak (3 melee attack, 2 speed, and 3 HP) with Sneak ability (Targets the lthereonster on the enemy Team instead of the first Monster) Even though there is an Equal Opportunity rule sneak monster still prioritise to attack the back line monster.
Celestial_Harpy-removebg-preview.pngCelestial HarpyDps (2 melee attack, 2 speed and 3 HP)
Ajax Lightfoot.png Ajax LightfootDps (2 range attack, 6 speed and 4 HP) with Bloodlust ability ( Every time it defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats, In the Reverse Speed ruleset, -1 to Speed)

In this battle, I focus on monsters with decent damage and speed attacking first is my priority so I choose support with high speed and Slow ability. Overall we have 1 melee attack in 1st position, 8 attack damage for the Opportunity monster and 3 melee attacks for the Sneak monster.

Let's see our opponent's cards:

Obsidian.png

Our opponent brings a mage, The Obsidian (+1 magic attack) with :

  • Xenith Monk (1 melee attack, 3 speed and 6HP)
  • Hill Giant ( 2 melee attack, 1 speed and 7 HP) Off-tank if the Xenith Monk will fall.
  • Queen Mycelia (1 magic attack, 1 speed and 4 HP)/with Protect ability (All friendly Monsters gain +2 Armor)
  • Venari Spellsmith (1 magic attack, 2 speed and 3 HP) with Dispel ability ( When this monster hit an enemy, it clears all positive status effects on that enemy)

Our opponent also brings a monster from the Gladiators.

  • Bertrol Gobson (2 melee attacks, 4 speed and 3 HP) with Bloodlust ability.
  • Spirit Hoarder ( 1 magic attack, 1 speed and 3 HP)

Our opponent focus on damage. He got a total of 10 damage in opportunity and 1 in the First position. In this battle, we have our advantage in Speed which means our monster will attack first.

Let's see what will be the result of this battle.

Before we proceed to the battle. What are your thoughts about this battle? Who has the advantage? Who would win? Is it the Obsidian or General Sloan?

Round 1

IMG_20221021_124959.jpg

Starts with buff and debuff of all monsters and summoned. Queen Mycelia gives 2 armor to her allies. Venari Spellsmith was 1st to be deleted in this round followed by Sunkai Harvester. Speed is really helpful in this battle. Time Mage dodges the attack coming from Hill Giant.

Round 2

Ajax Lightfoot attacked first then killed Bertrol Gobson Bloodlust ability activated Ajax gain +1 range attack, +1 speed and 1HP.
Spirit Hoarder falls from the combined attack of Time Mage and Celestial Harpy. I also failed to protect our Time Mage in this round.

Round 3

Both tanks don't take much damage. Queen Mycelia died in the hands of Ajax and it gains +1 to all stats.

Round 4

This battle is almost over. Ajax once again killed an opponent. After Xenith Monk fall into the hands of Ajax, the Hill Giant takes place but he couldn't withstand the attacks that are coming from Xenith Month, Celestial Harpy and Stitch Leech and that secures out Victory!

Thought of the Battle

Speed matters in this battle. My monster attacked first and then killed the enemy, and with that, my opponent have a disadvantage
he already lost the damage dealer before it even attacked.

Alright! That's all for this blog. Thank you for reading. Have a great day ahead. Happy Weekend Everyone! Keep safe.

Sort:

For a moment, I thought the armor would make the battle more difficult for him.

Not this time. Because of the blast.
