Hey everyone, welcome back to my Splinterlands blog, I hope you're having a great season in wins and earnings, this season the Glint earnings are boosted and it makes a huge difference for me, top players already have (close to) max reward sets but I'm still building and won't be done any time soon!

For now, my win rate on both of my accounts is pretty consistent at 51.11% and 51.65% at my Gold and Diamond accounts, for now I'm at 102k and 154k total glint for this season with just over six days left so this will be a nice boost, I usually end the season with around 80 - 100k on my Gold account and anywhere from 120 - 180k on my Diamond account, depending how competitive the season is so this time I will have more glint to spend to buy more reward cards with! 😃

It's Thursday today and it's always the day I'm making my first Splinterlands blog post to hopefully earn upvotes to invest in my account, when you're not doing this yourself, I really recommend doing so because the earnings can be really nice AND we are spreading the news about this awesome game!

Sharing an Epic Battle

On with this weeks main topic, I feel like sometimes it's hard in Modern League lately, my Gold account get it's ass kicked by players with max level summoners, and my Diamond (Chaos Legion) account is getting owned by the Rebellion Legendary summoners and expensive cards I don't own like Mantaroth and Venka the Vile, seeing one of these summoners usually means I'll get my ass kicked again but sometimes a much cheaper deck can still win against an expensive deck!

The battle I saved to share for this post was from earlier this week, I like to save great battles so I can later make posts about them. This was a 55 mana Modern League, Target Practice / Are you not entertained / Maneuvers battle with only the Water and Death splinters available to be chosen. For me this wasn't a hard choice, I feel in the current Chaos Legion meta, Water beats Death most of the times, and because of the Maneuvers ruleset choosing Possibilus wasn't bringing a lot of extra value, I rather had the +1 armor and +1 speed Kelya brings to my team. I could see my opponent owned Lorkus in his previous teams, so I made sure I had some anti magic in my team.

First look at the battlefield:

Well it's Lorkus alright, and damn he brings a heavy team with cards I can only dream about owning! Gold Foil Arkemis is $45, max Dr. Blight is $89, max venka is over $200 and a max Lorkus is $320!

I am never going to win against such a great team 🙄

Right!?

My Line-Up:

• Summoner: Kelya Frendul - reason: +1 Armor +1 Speed for water is the best choice for me.
• First position: Arkemis the Bear - reason: Great tank all-round!
• Second position: Coastal Sentry - reason: Good damage Double Strike with Piercing, I intentionally keep this card below max to stay under the Forcefield treshold.
• Third position: Djinn Oshannus - reason: Fast with Void and Phase on the snipe position.
• Fourth position: Isgald Vorst - reason: Opportunity Gladiator.
• Fifth position: Riverboat Captain - reason: It's Blast ability works great with snipe ruleset, affliction is also great.
• Sixth position: Wave Brood - reason: Anti magic and anti ranged, with Taunt, awesome card!

The Battle:

Round 1: Well the start is pretty good for me, Cursed Windeku is already killed but Arkemis is a great secondary tank, my Taunt is almost dead, Usut with self heal and life leech can become a problem but hopefully my affliction lands on it later in the battle.

Round 2: My taunt is dead... now all heat will be on Arkemis, this won't end well I think...

Round 3: Wow! I tend to underestimate my own team sometimes, of course the massive damage Venka is doing runs in to Forcefield only doing 1 damage, Usut is afflicted but is still gaining health trough the Life Leech Lorkus brings, Djinn Oshannus is my fail safe though, Usut will have a very hard time hitting my Djinn! But it's slow anyway so he will probably get killed fast by Coastal Sentry.

Round 4: Riverboat Captain made the final kill, and it's a win!!! Amazing, I won against a truly overpowered team! 😍

Nice SPS earnings, awesome Glint! I'm earning around 700 - 800 per win at the moment!

Time to submit my brawl battles for my guild and then back to ranked battles, hopefully it's better than when I stopped to make this post because I was hitting a losing streak 😅
