What's the purpose of voting? And why Validator needs to be loaded for rewards?
voting is to help establish who validates the blocks in this internal splinterlands blockchain type system.
Rewards can go to anyone who has a node license ... peakmonsters helps run the software to claim the rewards for that.
It's two separate things really
Is it free to run node or requires a peakmonster fee?
do you have a Splinterlands Validator License?
You can certainly run the software yourself without us there are a couple dozen that do.
