I have a summoner problem, they are too weak to be of worth. Which I guess has been a long time coming, but still, it is a problem and will be even more of a problem when Modern and Wild are finally out.
More than likely my sense of worth is tied to my impatience, which is funny because I have been just cruising along earning what I earn and buying what I can for the longest time.
Slowly inching ahead $3 a season just doing 'ma thang.
My best summoner for the longest time has been my Daria which is an epic at Level 4.
Aftern her it is my Zintar which I only recently upgraded to a Level 5. Aside from those two my main summoners are the generic Alpha's converted to beta so I can get them to Level 4 way back when. So all in all I have a pretty ok low-level Wild Gold deck.
This is where the problem comes in. I do not have the Summoners for Modern. Since all my Summoners are at least Level 2, aside from that stupid low mana epic thing, I could technically get about 1.5 DEC a day for them each. So for unused summoners 12 DEC a day.
So mainly the question is does it benefit to rent them out, or to buy a new account and play at a lower level.
Obviously, some trial and error will be required, also seeing how the rental market shifts once even Level 1 cards are listed more often.
What does not make sense to me actually is selling any of the low level summoners to either buy another at a slightly higher level, and more than likely that would go into a single summoner.
I don't think the reducing spread is worth all that much in this game, now if you focus on a narrower spread say one or two splinters specifically with newly acquired assets. That I see quite differently.
Worth noting is that sure I could split accounts and until modern and wild come that would be the best solution, given renting does not outperform. But, in the same breath why not just split accounts anyway, leagues or not.
Since Modern does not benefit Wild there is really no reason to not have multiple accounts, one for each league. That is if you view them as separate things, as maybe I should.
It makes sense that the two accounts are actually not as capable of growth as a single optimized high-level account. Everything in crypto and the world works on this principle, the more you have in excess the more you will gain. Splinterlands is no different.
If I split my account into self-operating weaker accounts I think the pace of growth will be far lower than if I just funnel everything into a single point of growth, ie a single killer splinter, then the next and the next.
Right back where I started
Obviously the above does not consider the time investment which is also a big variable when actively playing, and as much as the new reward structure is great news for bot owners. I am sure there is some merit in running multiple smaller accounts vs a single high-level account.
So, without further ado here is my plan.
I will be getting a secondary account when the new reward structure comes in and stop renting cards out unless that account has all the basic cards it requires.
The rewards on that account will be sold at whatever value or used to upgrade the main account in the most logical way.
Ideally I will find a bot that works best to run the account and ideally that bot will have some AI - but that is longterm.
Because let's not kid ourselves and think bots will have an issue, there is no player that will out do a properly trained bot, and even if the bot API becomes unusable the point with many of the new systems is to train visually like a person anyway.
The latter is more an aside than anything else.
I think the main difference between earning more from rentals vs splitting to a new account will be the time dedication, and if I get bored which I often do I can always just rent that whole account out.
Other than that, I am sure new things will come up but and my plan is nothing special and will need to pivot to accommodate whichever means.
What are your "plans" for maximum scraps, or will you be chugging along doing your thang as I expect myself to do once I get bored?
my summoners are level 1 except for KELYA FRENDUL and THADDIUS BROOD. edit: my mistake also have a few other chaos summoners that are level 2. I am still able to finish in gold 3. I wonder if I will be able to do this in the future.
Then you play majority of the time in silver? Maybe I just see my lower summoners as a drawback because I fomo on not being able to use leveled abilities. I should probably learn to play better then could use lower level cards with more impact.
Most of the time I get to gold within a first few days.
I only have a few summoners. They are all level l. I'm in Silver ll don't have enough CP for Silver l. I think if the new format coming out, will need to buy more summoners. I need to see first what the new rewards is like. As it's difficult to be in Silver l because financially, need to spend another $100 to buy more cards to level up !
Yeah your account is pretty interesting, you have what looks like a sales account with all those level 1's so if prices go up it a max sell account for value but I can see that it is also hard to then decide to even level cards up and ie put some of those cards value into summoners. Kudos on even playing in silver 2 with only level 1 cards I would get quite frustrated I think since even if someone else plays pretty bad just having a leveled type can make it harder for you to get good wins. Maybe I over-estimate silvers difficulty and with that said it would actually benefit me to not even play Gold 2 and instead just play Silver assuming I have a higher winrate then.
Goodluck flipping for some higher summoners, I personally hate selling cards, firstly cause it is a hassle but second a person always thinks but I can level it. Problem is though that summoners come first. !PIZZA
