Another Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge is up splinterbuddies and here I am again, yours truly, sending my entry. I hope you had a great weekend and time of the day/night as of now while doing something great! Let us check what is the Earthquake ruleset in splinterlands.
Earthquake
All non-flying units take 2 physical damage at the end of every turn.
Note:
Snared units are considered non-flying. Since the damage given is physical, it can be reduced to 1 if the unit has the shield ability.
- So Earthquake can be avoided when your monster is high I mean have a Flying ability into it. Normally, Earthquake happens every round and will cause none Flying monsters suffers 2 damages every turn. Well, Flying monsters will not be spared if they got caught on snare of course.
- Let us see a battle example for this rule:
The ruleset is:
Earthquake in 32 Mana Capacity. So we have 4 available splinters to choose from and I am picking up the Life splinters this time. Let's see what is my team made of.
- My Team
Summoner | Position 1 | Position 2 | Position 3 | Position 4 | Position 5 | Position 6 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Avina | Venari M. | Iziar | Venari C. | Meriput M. | Celestial H. | Pelacor C. |
Mana Cap: 5 | Mana Cap: 3 | Mana Cap: 11 | Mana Cap: 4 | Mana Cap: 5 | Mana Cap: 2 | Mana Cap:2 |
Level 2 | Level 2 | Level 1 | Level 2 | Level 1 | Level 2 | Level 3 |
This is a bit bias team here splinterbuddies. Yeah I am hooked up using up Avina of the Wolf and the healing gang at the moment so bear with me please. lol. This combination is really, as for me, is killing it. I am not saying it that this is a new Meta but its winning rate as I am using it is good enough to lift me on my less 50% winning rate. lol. So lets back to business, Avina of the Wolf with its heal of course and will be granted to Iziar as the benefactor of that summoner skill with Venari Chrystalsmith and Meriput Magician adding the tank heal to the fray. I am also thinking that Iziar to be boosted so i placed Venari Marksrat to the front so it will grant a boost to Iziar if it will be removed from the battlefield. Completing my team are the two flying units in the form of Celestial Harpy and Pelacor Conjurer and covering my backline. With a flying unit that covers the back of my team is a good thing to do for the reason that flying units got a bit of boost to evade Melee and range sneakers. Lets see the outcome of the battle.
The Battle
Ok ok ok, Wow, my opponent is really paying attention to my battle logs that it really countered a group of Magicians here. Master Rathe really is used. Well I am not loosing any hope figthing this group of Life Splinters that will oppose my team. Let us continue to what will be the outcome of this battle.
Round 1
The opponents team is sturdy as a leather jacket. Uriel the Purifier is really great tank against the magicians if it is summoned by Master Rathe. A Great Combination indeed.
Round 2
Martyr is triggered due to the fall of my Venari Marksrat. I just hope the additional damage and stats of Iziar will be sufficient to eliminate the opponents team before mine was wiped out of Earthquake. lol. Too stubborn not to follow instructions.
Round 6
And there it goes to round 6. I was wiped out. One thing to note here is i really neglect taking advantage of using flying units to avoid the damage coming from Earthquake. The opponents team made a good combination of Tank, the Summoner ability then repair which is also become the main point of surviving the magic attacks of my team. This is my lost.
- When dealing with Earthquake, you must note that it is a physical damage and can be avoided with flying ability. When your team got the armor, it will damage the armor first before your monster health. Snare can cause flying monsters to get effected by this ruleset, what else. Don't be stubborn ok, just like i did. There's nothing wrong in taking advantage of what ruleset they are throwing in the game. lol. But the most important thing is to enjoy, so I guess there's nothing wrong in trying anything if you are enjoying in the game (Other enjoyment? just be responsible :D).
