Splinterlands Social Media Challenge

Hi splinter fam,

Welcome to my blog for another weeks entry into the social media challenge. So last week i made a post about how I was able to make it into champion III for the first time and how excited I was but wasn’t able to get there again till the season ended.

This season Ive been able to enter for the second time. Well, this time round it wasn’t like the first time as I was able to win like 2 to 3 games there before getting knocked back into diamond I.

So yh, this season will end in 2 days and Ive not gotten to my target sps yet. Last season i was able to make 2k sps which was good. U was aiming to get near them same amount of sos for this season but with the way things are going I don’t think I’ll be able to get there. My problem is that the number of losses I am getting this season is a lot. It’s a lot because I am in a relatively higher league position than the previous seasons.

In other seasons I usually fight my way through gold into diamond and then I struggle and not get into champion. Last season i fought my way from gold into diamond and then champion III so the types of opponents I was facing were relatively weaker than what I am facing this season. So this week, I’ll be writing about a battle I played in. This days with where I am I don’t just have to field in crazy monsters to win as some of the battles require that you choose cards which can endure before you’ll be able to win. This is actually one of the games that I enjoyed playing and winning.

I’ll tell you why. With a low mana game I mostly get anxious. I get anxious cause I usually don’t have very good cards with low mana. Plus one of the rulesets of this game is one that I’ve always not liked and will never like.

The heavy metal ruleset which requires that you can only summon armored units annoy me so much. The thing is with this I am very limited and is usually found wanting on the kind of cards I can use.

But but with the addition of the reach ability it helped a lot. With that I was able to put in a very good gig mana card.

So with this armor stuff I went in for keyla frendul summoner. First choice card was cruel Sethropod. Next card on the list was my lovely diemonshark with the retaliate and trample abilities.

To act as a decoy I went in for hardy stonefish. The hardy stonefish was because my opponents usually bring in cards with opportunity so going in for this was a good move for me.

Round one was a casual round especially with the divine shield ability. Nothing actually happened in this round. Round 2 brought in some action even though no card was killed. But round 3 brought some death to my stonefish but then I killed his first card.

This battle didn’t go on for a long time though. It took just 7 rounds and then it was over. I liked the way it turned out as well.
