Splinterlands is not as exciting now as it used to be. The number of players is decreasing rapidly, and the number of posts on X has also decreased a lot. The reason is clear: it is no longer possible to make money by just playing.

The price of DEC went up tremendously from the summer of 2021 to the end of the year. Originally, DEC was around $0.001, but it has gone up to a maximum of $0.01654. That's more than 16 times higher than the original price! A tremendous bubble! Well, I started in 2021, so I was riding this wave too. 🤣

At that time, we got DEC for battle and season rewards, and the price of DEC kept going up, so we made a lot of money.

I was able to make a few dollars per win, plus I was getting a lot of DECs for Daily Rewards and Seasonal Rewards.

28,900 DEC for seasonal rewards and that's great!

Since the DEC price on that day was apparently $0.00596035. Let's see... $172.254115 !
That means I got $172 in one shot. That's outrageous! 😆
Even if you didn't have this bonus, you could have won dozens of dollars every day if you won battles. That's why you get new players every day!

But after this, the price of DEC went down more and more and the number of people decreased. I think it's a very interesting game, but everyone has their likes and dislikes. I can't help it if people start to lose interest when they can't make money.

Since then, there have been many changes and twists and turns, but recently it seems to be picking up a bit again. It's not as good as it was in its heyday, but the number of players seems to be increasing little by little. Is it my imagination?

The current DEC price is around $0.0007. Daily Rewards are gone and Seasonal Rewards are now only Glint, so I can't get these bonuses anymore. Is it possible to make any money at all now?

Let me give you a concrete example. My compensation for the previous season's battles was 94.75 SPS. The season before that it was 141.806 SPS. My playstyle these days is to battle in batches on weekends, so I have a lot of energy during the week. That's a pretty wide range, but for ease of calculation, let's assume that I earn 150 SPS each season, or 10 SPS every day.

10 SPS daily means that the current SPS price is $0.006778, which is about $0.067. That's about 10 Japanese yen. You can't even buy a small chocolate. It's not a very good way to make money!

Splinterlands is no longer very profitable, but as a game, Splinterlands is one of the better TCG games I've played. It depends on the individual, but I think people who like card games will enjoy it.

As I have said for a long time, I love card games, and Magic The Gathering is one that I played for several years and had many cards. My favorite was Hypnotic Specter.

I also played a little Pokemon card game. I also played SHADOW VERSE digitally. Recently I also played Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. 😉

But playing TCGs takes a lot of time. Especially when playing against other players, it takes a long time. You spend a lot of time waiting for your opponent to make a move. In the first place, getting together to play together was something you could only do as a student, wasn't it? I can't play against each other in real life anymore. It's too much work in many ways.

In this respect, digital games are easy. You can play against each other by connecting to the Internet in your spare time, and the cards are not bulky, not dirty, and not lost. However, battles still take time.

However, Splinterlands is auto-battle, so each battle is short. This is not to say that there is no strategy because of the auto-battle, but you need to use your head properly and take measures against the popular decks.

Also, the unique digital card management makes it not bulky, not dirty, and not lost. And because it is NFT, it is a good game that can be bought, sold, and rented.
So, it's not about “play because you can earn money” but “play for fun“. I think it is better to play with a mindset of “playing for fun”.

When the term “Play2Earn” became popular, many of the games were focused on “earning money” and the quality of the games was low compared to console games. Splinterlands, however, is not inferior to console games. So, if you play games without thinking about “earning money,” why not buy the pack and play it instead of buying one console game?

For example, Nintendo Switch software is roughly 6,000 yen.
it is about $40. Instead of buying one software, you can buy a pack of Conclave Arcana and play Splinterlands, and I think you will enjoy it enough. But maybe if you get addicted to it, you'll buy more and more cards because you won't have enough. 😂.

Splinterlandsは昔と比べて今は盛り上がっていません。プレイヤーの人数もどんどん減って、Xでのポストもずいぶんと減りました。理由は明確で適当にプレイしてもどんどんお金が増えている状態ではなくなっちゃったからですね。

2021年の夏から年末にかけてDECの価格がとんでもなく上がりました。もともとDECは 0.001 ドル前後だったんだけど、最高で 0.01654 ドル まで上がったようです。なんと16倍越えですよ！とんでもないバブル！まぁ、私も2021年に始めたのでこの波に乗ってたんですけどね。🤣

あの時はバトルの報酬やシーズン報酬でDECが貰えて、そのDEC価格がどんどん上がるものだからすごい儲かったもんです。

1回の勝利で数ドル稼げたうえに、デイリーリワードやシーズンリワードでもDECがたくさん貰えてたからね。

なんと1撃で 172ドル が手に入ったってことですね。とんでもないな！😆
もしこんなボーナスが無くてもバトルで勝てば毎日数十ドル手に入れる事は可能だったんですよね。そりゃ人が増えるよ！

しかしこの後どんどんDECが値下がりして人が減ってしまいました。ゲームとしてはとても面白いと思うのですが、みんな好き嫌いがあるからね。稼げなくなったら人が減っていくのもしょうがないね。

その後いろんな変更があって紆余曲折ありましたが、最近ではまたちょっと盛り上がってきてるような気もします。全盛期には及ばないですが、少しずつプレイヤーが増えているような？気のせいでしょうか？

とても稼ぐとは言えなくなってしまったSplinterlandsですが、ゲームとしてみればSplinterlandsは今までプレイしてきたTCGゲームの中でも優れていると思います。個人差はありますが、カードゲーム好きの人は楽しめるんじゃないでしょうか?

昔から言ってますが私はカードゲームが好きです。Magic The Gathering は数年ハマってカードも沢山持ってました。お気に入りは Hypnotic Specter でしたね。

ポケモンカードゲームもちょっとやりました。デジタルでは SHADOW VERSE もやりましたね。最近では Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket もプレイしましたよ。😉

でも、TCGの対戦って時間がかかるんですよね。とくに、対人戦の場合ものすごく時間がかかります。相手の行動を待ってる時間が長いし。そもそも集まってわいわいプレイすることが学生だからこそ出来た事ですよね。私はもう現実で対戦は無理ですね。色々とまぁいろいろと大変なので。

その点、デジタルのゲームは楽です。空いた時間でネット接続すれば対戦できるし、カードはかさばらないし、汚れないし、無くさないし。ただ、バトルに時間がかかるのは相変わらず。

しかし、Splinterlandsはオートバトルなので1戦の時間は短くて済みます。オートだから戦略性は無いのかと言われればそういうわけではなく、ちゃんと頭を使って流行りのデッキの対策も必要です。

また、デジタルならではのカード管理でかさばらない、汚れない、紛失しない。そしてNFTなので売買、レンタルもできるという良いとこどりのゲームです。
なので。「稼げるからプレイする」のではなく、「楽しむためにプレイする」といった心構えでプレイするのが良いんじゃないでしょうか。

Play2Earnって言葉がはやったときにたくさんあったゲームの多くは「稼げる」に重点が置かれていてゲームとしての出来は家庭用ゲーム機と比べれば低レベルなものでした。しかしSplinterlandsは家庭用ゲーム機と比べても引けを取りません。ですので、「稼ぐ」を考えずにゲームをプレイするのであれば家庭用ゲーム機のソフトを1本買う代わりにパックを買って遊んでみるのもいいんじゃないでしょうか？

例えばNintendo Switchのソフトが大体6000円です。今なら約40ドル。ソフト1本買う代わりにコンクラーベアルカナのパックを買ってSplinterlandsを遊べば十分楽しめると思いますよ。でもたぶん、ハマっちゃうとカードが足りなくてどんどん買い足しちゃうと思いますけどね。😂
