Introduction

Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!

This will be my entry for this weeks Battle Mage Secrets with the featured ruleset Healed Out. This is a ruleset were all types of healing abilities were removed from monsters and summoners.

The Battle that I will show to you this week was another tournament match from @bltzr-wizard-726 which is the scholar account I'm playing from Balthazar Guild in partnership with Side Door Ventures and was currently playing on Diamond League of the Modern format but before I reveal the battle, let us learn more about this ruleset.

All healing abilities are removed from Monsters and Summoners.

With Healed Out healing abilities cannot be used such as Heal, Tank Heal and Triage like all the monsters have Affliction debuff on them and this does not only affect the monster units but also summoners too.

This battle comes with a 51 mana cap where the active rulesets were Equalizer, Unprotected and the featured ruleset for this week which was Healed Out. With this in consideration, my lineup was consist of:

Summoner: Kelya Frendul - This summoner gives +1 speed to all ally monsters allowing me to be able to attack faster and also gives +1 armor that will increase my protection against the upcoming range attacks.

  • 1st Position: Diemonshark - Has good amount of health and armor, making it a good melee tank which also comes with Trample which allows it to attack again when it defeats a monster and Retaliate that can make it to attack when attacked by a melee monster. It also comes with Enrage which increases its speed and damage when its health was damaged.

  • 2nd Position: Flying Squid A melee monster that comes with Reach which allows it to attack even at the second position together with Blind which increases the evasion chance of all ally monsters by 15% and Backfire which it to inflict damage when a monster misses an attack on it.

  • 3rd Position: Deeplurker - This melee monster has the Opportunity ability which allows it to attack the monster with the lowest health and debuff it with Affliction which makes the target to lose health each round. This also has Demoralize which gives the debuff to melee monsters, making them to lose -1 damage.

  • 4th Position: Supply Runner - Increases the speed and health of all ally monsters with Strengthen and Swiftness as long as it remains in the battle.

  • 5th Position: Kulu Swimhunter - Does not have any abilities but was a ridiculously fast range monster that can deal 4 damage.

  • 6th Position: Wave Brood - Comes with Taunt ability which makes monsters attack this card and has magic damage reduced due to Void while range monsters will get reflected damage due to its Return Fire ability.

Here is a replay of the battle which at you can watch at Splinterlands.

Did My Strategy Work?

With healing abilities disabled due to Healed Out ruleset, monsters have no ability to sustain the damage that they receive from attacks and that is why I choose a fast team with good amount of damage which has allowed me to attack faster before my opponent, allowing me to defeat them faster as they cannot sustain the damage.

That was it for this post. Thank you and see you at the next one.
