Diese Woche könnte man die Battle Mage Secrets auch die fantastischen 4 nennen. Denn in dieser Ausgabe wird das Team reduziert. Das dazu gehörige Ruleset um das sich alles dreht heißt "Fab four". Was es genau bedeutet und wie sich das Ruleset auf den Kampf auswirkt schauen wir uns gemeinsam an.

2. Battle Rulesets
Neben dem Ruleset "Fab Four" sind zusätzlich noch "Are You Not Entertained?" und "Up Close & Personal" für den Kampf aktiv. "Are You Not Entertained?" bedeutet, dass eine zusätzliche Gladiatorenkarte in Kämpfen verwendet werden kann. "Up Close & Personal" bedeutet, dass nur Monster mit Nahkampfangriff in Kämpfen eingesetzt werden können. Das Mana Cap liegt bei 58 und alle Elemente sind für diesen Kampf aktiv und dürfen somit ausgewählt und gespielt werden.

In addition to the "Fab Four" ruleset, "Are You Not Entertained?" and "Up Close & Personal" are also active for the fight. "Are You Not Entertained?" means that an additional gladiator card can be used in battles. "Up Close & Personal" means that only monsters with a melee attack can be used in battles. The mana cap is 58 and all elements are active for this battle and can therefore be selected and played.

3. My Team
Für diesen Kampf habe ich mich für das Element Wasser entschieden. Possibilus the Wise wird mein Team als Summoner anführen. Er gibt all meinen Monstern +2 Leben und die Fähigkeiten "Reach" und "Trample". "Reach" bedeutet, dass Nahkampfangriff Monster mit der Fähigkeit Reichweite von der zweiten Position im Team angreifen können. "Trample" bedeutet, dass wenn ein Monster mit Trample sein Ziel mit einem Nahkampfangriff trifft und tötet, er einen weiteren Nahkampfangriff auf das nächste Monster im gegnerischen Team ausführt. Eine kurze Übersicht über das restliche Lineup seht ihr hier:
I have chosen the element of water for this battle. Possibilus the Wise will lead my team as Summoner. He gives all my monsters +2 life and the abilities "Reach" and "Trample". "Reach" means that melee attack monsters with the Reach ability can attack from the second position in the team. "Trample" means that if a monster with Trample hits and kills its target with a melee attack, it performs another melee attack on the next monster in the opposing team. Hier sind meine Gedanken zur Strategie und Teamaufstellung.
Das Mana cap ist besonders hoch und durch "Fab Four" dürfen die dicken Jungs zum Einsatz kommen. Wegen des Rulesets "Up Close & Personal" habe ich mich für das Element Wasser mit Possibilus entschieden. Somit kann ich ein Melee Monster auf der zweiten Position einsetzen, das trotzdem angreifen kann auch wenn es nicht die Fähigkeit "Reach" besitzt.
Mantaroth wird als erster in den Kampf gehen. Er ist ein perfekter Tank, besitzt 3 Melee Angriffe und 4 Rüstung sowie 11 Leben. Des Weiteren reduziert er den erlittenen Melee Schaden des Gegners, was von Vorteil ist wenn nur Melee Monster eingesetzt werden dürfen.
Position 2 wird mit Coastal Sentry besetzt. Sis ist eine Bestie mit ihren doppelten 5 Melee Angriffen die die Rüstung des Gegners durchbohren. Wenn wir von Bestien sprechen, darf Deeplurker auf keinen Fall fehlen. Er besitzt ebenfalls 5 Melee Angriffe, die durch die Fähigkeit "Opportunity" das gegnerische Monster mit dem geringsten Leben angreift. Des weiteren hat er die Chance den Gegner zu vergiften, damit er nach jeder Runde zusätzlich 2 Schaden kassiert.
Zu guter Letzt spielt Coeurl Lurker auf der letzten Position. Er zieht er einmal alle gegnerischen Angriffe auf sich und entlastet somit mein restliches Team. Seine 4 Melee Angriffe sowie seine 11 Leben führen dazu, dass er sehr robust ist und hoffentlich lange am Leben bleiben kann.
Somit ist das Team schon vollzählig und der Kampf kann beginnen.

The mana cap is particularly high and "Fab Four" allows the big boys to be used. Because of the "Up Close & Personal" ruleset, I've opted for the element of water with Possibilus. This means I can use a melee monster in the second position that can still attack even if it doesn't have the "Reach" ability.
Mantaroth will be the first to go into battle. He is a perfect tank, has 3 melee attacks and 4 armor as well as 11 life. He also reduces the melee damage taken by the opponent, which is an advantage if only melee monsters can be used.
Position 2 is occupied by Coastal Sentry. Sis is a beast with its double 5 melee attacks that pierce the opponent's armor. When we talk about beasts, Deeplurker is a must. It also has 5 melee attacks that attack the opponent's monster with the lowest life thanks to the "Opportunity" ability. Furthermore, he has the chance to poison the opponent so that he takes an additional 2 damage after each turn.
Last but not least, Coeurl Lurker plays in the last position. He draws all the opponent's attacks on himself once and thus relieves the pressure on the rest of my team. His 4 melee attacks and his 11 lives make him very robust and hopefully he can stay alive for a long time.

5. The Battle
Der Kampf wurde in der Champion 3 Liga ausgetragen und der Gegner hat sich für das Element Feuer in Zusammenhang mit dem Drachen Summoner Quix the Devious entschieden.
The fight was held in the Champion 3 League and the opponent chose the element of fire in conjunction with the dragon summoner Quix the Devious.

7. Conclusion
Das gegnerische Team war sehr gut aufgestellt und ich war mir nicht sicher ob ich diesen Kampf gewinnen würde. Doch es hat sich herausgestellt, dass die Fähigkeit "Trample", die meine Team vom Summoner bekommen hat, sich als sehr nützliche erwiesen hat. Die Fähigkeit wurde mehrmals im Kampf ausgelöst und einen zusätzlichen Angriff wurde ausgelöst. Am Ende waren es diese Angriffe die mir den Vorteil verschafft haben und somit konnte ich den Kampf nach 5 Runden gewinnen.
The opposing team was very well positioned and I wasn't sure whether I would win this battle. But it turned out that the ability "Trample", which my team got from the Summoner, proved to be very useful. The ability was triggered several times in the fight and an additional attack was triggered. In the end, it was these attacks that gave me the advantage and I was able to win the battle after 5 rounds.
