Broken Arrows ruleset presents a unique challenge, restricting the use of ranged attackers. In this strategic guide, we'll delve into a powerful strategy designed to counter both melee and magic attackers using a carefully curated lineup of monsters. Let's explore the synergy between Grandmaster Rathe, Drybone Barbarian, Iziar, Djinn Renova, Spirit Hoarder, and Adelade Brightwing.

Using Broken Arrows ruleset to win a Diamond level battle!

We have three rulesets in effect: Broken Arrows, Unprotected and Odd Ones Out:

Units with 2 types of attack (which include ranged) cannot be used.

Consider utilizing units with Thorns or Magic Reflect, as your opponent will have to use either melee or magic units.

The Strategy

Grandmaster Rathe - The Unyielding Protector:
As a legendary life summoner from the Chaos Legion Core set, Grandmaster Rathe plays a pivotal role in this strategy. With the inability to utilize ranged attackers in the Broken Arrows ruleset, Rathe becomes a formidable choice against magic attackers. His presence on the battlefield provides a solid foundation for the forthcoming onslaught.

Drybone Barbarian - Unleashing Fury:
A soulbound rewards card, the Drybone Barbarian, proves to be the perfect companion for this ruleset. Armed with the enraged and retaliate abilities, this melee powerhouse not only counters attackers but also inflicts significant damage in return. The Barbarian's resilience makes it a key player in disrupting the opponent's strategies.

Iziar - Void-wielding Strategist:
Another soulbound rewards card, Iziar, adds a layer of complexity to the strategy. With void and martyr abilities, Iziar becomes a formidable force against magic attackers. Void reduces incoming magic damage, while martyr enhances the stats of adjacent monsters. The synergy between Iziar and monsters with triage and resurrection abilities amplifies the effectiveness of this combination.

Djinn Renova - Magical Support:
Hailing from the Chaos Legion, Djinn Renova brings substantial magic damage, health, strengthen, and triage abilities to the table. This versatile card becomes a linchpin in countering magic-based threats. Triage proves particularly useful when combined with Iziar, creating a resilient frontline capable of withstanding magical assaults.

Spirit Hoarder - The Mystic Damage Dealer:
A legendary rarity monster from the Chaos Legion Core ruleset, Spirit Hoarder is a magic damage dealer with a triage ability. This combination makes Spirit Hoarder a valuable asset in supporting Iziar and the team, ensuring that the squad remains in optimal condition to face the challenges posed by the Broken Arrows ruleset.

Adelade Brightwing - The Resilient Resurrector:
Completing the ensemble, Adelade Brightwing, a member of the Chaos Legion Core set, enhances the team's resilience. As a legendary monster, Adelade's resurrection ability gives Iziar the opportunity to apply his martyr ability twice, providing a significant boost to adjacent monsters. This synergy creates a formidable force that can turn the tide of battle in your favor.

The Summoner

Grandmaster Rathe is a legendary life summoner from the Chaos Legion Core set. Since Ranged attackers cannot be used in the Broken Arrows ruleset this summoner is really good against magic attackers.

1st Slot - Tank Monster

Drybone Barbarian is soulbound rewards card that is perfect for this ruleset as it has enraged and retaliate abilities.

2nd Slot - Taunt Monster

Iziar is another soulbound rewards card. I like using Iziar in conjunction with triage and resurrect monsters. Due to his void and martyr abilities this is a great monster to play in the broken arrows ruleset. Void reduces magic damage and martyr gives adjacent monsters increased stats.

3rd Slot - Triage Magic Attacker Monster

Djinn Renova is a Chaos Legion reward card. It has substantial magic damage of four, six health strengthen and triage abilities. Triage comes particularly useful in conjunction with Iziar.

4th Slot - Triage Magic Attacking Monster

Spirit Hoarder is a legendary rarity monster from the Chaos Legion Core ruleset. It is a magic damage dealer with two magic damage and triage ability that could come in really handy with Iziar.

5th Slot - Resurrect Monster

Adelade Brightwing is a Chaos Legion Core set member. This legendary monster works really great with Iziar. Resurrection gives Iziar a chance to apply his martyr ability twice which can significantly boost adjacent monsters.

6th Slot - Sneak Monster

Stitch Leech is a common rarity monster from the Chaos Legion Core set. It comes with a base speed of three, four health and four melee damage. It also has sneak and life leech abilities.

THE BATTLE

Looks like our opponent bet the ranch on speed and melee attackers, lets see how it will work out for them.
image.png

In round one their Chaos Agent really shined scoring a backfire on all but one attacks from our team.

In second round our tank was finally able to get rid of Chaos Agent, but our stitch leach missed his hit once again. Iziar is holding up great.

In round three our tank was resurrected so it didn't ago exactly according to my plan, but we are in a pretty good position at the start of round four:

And in round four was the decisive round with only one enemy monster remaining on the field:

And in round five our tank takes the winning shot:
