2025 summary, important changes, plans

Dear Splinterlands Community,

First of all, I wish everybody a Happy New Year! 🥂🥂🥂

In this article, I would like to summarize the results of the past year, plus share information about upcoming changes & plans.

I. Features implemented in the project

Unfortunately, I haven't developed as much as I wanted on the project itself; I paid more attention to my utility token's ecosystem. Let's see the completed features:

Card sale activities

• You can check the recent number of sold/delisted and listed cards on the Sale Market from the past period (up to 15 days). This feature is available to users with at least 100 TRENDZ tokens (an "epic" feature)

Card rental activities

• You can check the recent number of rented/delisted and listed cards on the Rental Market as well (also an epic feature)

Minor improvements

• I tried to follow constantly the changes of the main game. During the year, I integrated the support of Conclave Arcana, Extra, and the Land cards

• I enhanced the UI a little bit by showing a thumbnail of the cards on the main screen

• I modified the average calculation algorithm to use median daily prices. This reduced the side effects of "spike" prices

II. TRENDZ

I introduced the site's utility token (TRENDZ) in the middle of February. The primary purpose was to provide more utility to basic features (e.g., watchlist items, reports), while also enabling advanced features for token holders.

Loyalty Giveaways

Besides the utility functions, I wanted to reward the community for its support and loyalty. Beginning in March, I started a series of loyalty giveaways that reward both the token amount and the holding time.

There were 10 giveaways last year; token owners were rewarded with HIVE, DEC, SPS, TRENDZ tokens, and Conclave Arcana Packs.

Delegation Giveaways

In September, I introduced a new way to earn TRENDZ tokens passively by delegating HP to the @splintertrends account. There were 12 giveaways last year (3 in each month); delegators were rewarded with TRENDZ tokens. I think the average APR is still quite good (currently 17.15%).

What happened with the income from token sales?

• 20% of the income was sent back to holders via Loyalty Giveaways (in SWAP.HIVE)
• 80% of the income was used to power up the @trendztoken account. This account currently boosts the return of Delegation Giveaways

No additional SWAP.HIVE was withdrawn from the system.

Summary

Currently, 37 holders own a total of 1630.779 tokens. The price is still 1 HIVE (inflation is also a HUGE ZERO). Nearly nobody sold their tokens. This feedback is essential for me.

III. Important changes

Delegation Giveaways

• From the 1st of January, all Author Rewards will be paid to the @trendztoken account as 100% Hive Power. TRENDZ token rewards will be paid after only Curation Rewards.

• I powered up some HP to the @splintertrends account to lower the Rewards/Stake Coefficient (KE) under 1.0. "This is the way." 😉

• The HP of both accounts (@splintertrends, @trendztoken) is used to boost the current return (they don't earn Delegation Points)

I also started to support my project 😉

At the end of last year, I moved all of my crypto savings to the HIVE blockchain. I created a separate account for these funds under the name @peter.quill.

From this month, I will start collecting TRENDZ tokens and participating in the Hodler Giveaways as well. However, I won't include this account name in drawings.

IV. Project Goals

This year, I would like to put the focus back on the main project.

Under development: Improving the sync algorithm

I want my algorithm to sync with the markets more frequently. This will result in more up-to-date data and more precise card activity information.

Enhancing UI

I want my pages to get a facelift:

• Better filtering (Edition, Bloodline, etc.)
• More icons and colors 🙂
• Better data visualization

Separating sale and rental information

I want to create separate pages for sale and rental information, with the corresponding reports.

Extending watchlist

I want to simplify multiple watchlist item creation and introduce threshold notifications for CC (BCX)

Advisor

I want to create a function that will help make the best decision before buying/renting a new card. It will consider the investor's primary goal:

• Playing in battles
• Getting revenue with a later sale
• Renting out
• Making work on land

Sale & Rental Market

My dream goal is to have my own marketplace that rewards customers with their favorite token (+ TRENDZ 😉)

V. TRENDZ related goals

My primary goal is to provide more value to token holders who use my site's features.

My secondary goal is to share the success (in the form of rewards) with the token holders who support my project via token sales or delegations. After the first anniversary, I will introduce the new reward system.

I know that currently we are few, but I think the long-term potential is still huge.
