Overview

This week in the battle of the week we have Dragons.
The Dragon splinter in a very particular splinter which allows us to combine cards from this splinter with the monsters of another splinter of choice, allowing us to generate very interesting and varied strategies.
The battle I selected this time seemed interesting to me, as both me and my opponent chose a dragon summoner in combination with the death splinter but with different approaches in our strategy.

Rules

A challenging combination due to the limitations created by a low mana cap and monsters without abilities, making it difficult to pick a combination that we can be sure of succeeding.

Battle Link

My strategy this time was to pick the best tank available, taking into consideration the mana cap, and a ranged unit to help with the damage, deciding to use Drake of Arnak to provide some extra defense for my tank.

My opponent on the other hand chose instead of a tank to set up several low cost cards in order to buy time for his ranged units to destroy me.

Battle Analysis

This battle was very close. Although analyzing in detail it is possible to see that the Armor granted by the Drake of Arnak made the difference stopping the first attack of the Fire Spitter, allowing my Cursed Windeku to survive until the end (with 2 health) and giving me the victory.

My opponent's idea was quite good, although his summoner selection I think was not the best, being better for his strategy to use the summoner Drake Arnak and his armor protection.

Conclusion

The splinter Dragon allows us, thanks to its summoners and cards, to create many combinations with other splinters, which opens up a world of possibilities for strategies and especially counter strategies, which on the one hand is great, but on the other hand it also means that it is not an easy splinter to use especially for beginner players as it requires, in my opinion, a detailed knowledge of the other splinters and their most common strategies in order to get the most out of it.

I hope you liked the analysis and see you in the next one!
