BORN AGAIN

Resurrect is an ability that is very valuable in the splinterlands world but just a few units and summoners have the ability. Rebirth is even much more uncommon as it is found in just one special unit, the Runi. On a certain occasion, though, this ability can be granted to every unit on the battle field. In this week's challenge, we explore such occasion with the Born Again ruleset.

The Combat Rules

I like Rebirth because, just like resurrect, the dead unit comes back with full armor and negative effects cleared. So, I hope to maximize that armor advantage in this battle. Let's see how it goes.

LINEUP

Like I said, when a unit is reborn, he retains his armor. I want to use magic attacks to bypass the armor of any resurrected unit. I would have use Immortalis' shatter because it is possible to have some void armor but I did not have him and so I had to settle for Obsidian.

I want to maximize that rebirth ability so I have decided to use this monstrous unit because of his taunt and void armor. This guy is the type of monster you'd imagine when you hear the word "tank". He should do really well.

Next is the Magi of Chaos. I like this unit mainly because of his 3x magic attack. He is an important part in many of my magic teams. Also, 6 health is a good guard against snipe and can take some hits when forced to the front.

Of course I would put Regal Peryton in this battle. Normally, that 6x speed and flying can also guard against snipe but there are no ranged attacks that can miss. Well, at least he gets to attack pretty quickly which is nice.

Queen Mycelia has always been a favorite unit to many players. In this battle, she has an important role to play. She will support the tank with an extra 2x void armor. The regular armor would also go out to other units in case of melee attacks.

The tank would need some more support especially when resurrected with 1x health. Well, I have Goblin Psychic with the tank heal to help out. He also has affliction that can stop enemy units from getting healed. The perfect combo of abilities.

Lastly, we have Djinn Biljka with the camouflage and void. 3 mana for a potential 3X magic attack is something I just cannot pass on. Let's see how he performs.

The Battle Highlights

Round 1:

• Obsidian buffs up my units while the enemy uses Lobb Lowland to reduce my units' speeds. Queen Mycelia grants all my units some extra armor.
• My units attack the Slipspawn at the back and take it out before it is reborn.
• The enemy units focus fire on my tank.
• The Terracheous Hulk gets to attack Quora.

Round 2:

• Regal Peryton quickly kills the Slipspawn for good.
• Now, my units focus their fire on Quora.
• In this round, Quora and Terracheos Hulk are killed but reborn.

Round 3:

• Terracheos Hulk is still getting most of this hits and is eventually killed.
• Quora is also taken out before she gets the chance to activate her bloodlust.
• Now, the Fungus Fiend and Magi of Chaos are in front.
• Fungus Fiend is taken out but reborn.

Round 4:

• Quickly, Fungus Fiend is killed for good by Regal Peryton.
• Now, the two Magi of Chaos are in front and mine is taken out but resurrected.
• Goblin Psychic heals my Magi of Chaos before destroying the enemy's who is also reborn.
• The enemy's Goblin Pshychic heals up his Magi of Chaos and then attacks mine leaving him with 1X health and affliction.

Round 5:

• Regal Peryton attacks first again destroying the enemy's Magi of Chaos.
• Djinn Biljka and Queen Mycelia work together to take down the Spirit Hoarder for good.
• Magi of Chaos kills his afflictor who is resurrected and killed for good by Goblin Psychic.

CONCLUSION

Well, my plan for this battle worked out quite well if you ask me. I was able to maximize the ruleset with the void armor and I also had really powerful fire power.

I like this ruleset. It is quite challenging but also really fun to play. At least, I get to experience the Runi experience without having to play my Runi.
