my main concern with the proposal is that they seem to be just burning money now and are not a sustainable company. There are so many things broken with their economy that this money might not make a noticeable difference. They have had several chances to fix things, but here we are with everything down by 99%. Maybe it would truly be better if they move to another chain.

I totally agree with you here, with the current state of the game economy and basically 0 earning potential for new players to be enticed in by its gonna be hard to turn this shit around. I pulled a djinn oshannus early on when i started playing and was well happy, then sold that and bought a bunch of cards I needed more, new players dont get that. Its basically pay to play now with no reason to collect older editions as they wont appreciate in time or provide any bonus to play/earnings.
