Trooper derrota a Boring Hobgoblin.

Ronda 3:
Commander derrota a Anasth Soothsayer.

Ronda 4:

English

Hello everyone, this Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge is about Battlefield Breakdowns! In which I will be talking about a strategy that has been winning me several battles.

image.png

The strategy I'm using lately is with Archon Elias Max Pruit

Elias Max is a legendary Archon from Arcane Conclave.
This Archon can wield two elements, Light and Water.

Grants all our units +1 melee ATK and +1 armor, and can also grant a unit Repair and Cleanse or grant Armor Strike and Piercing.

In my case, I focus on ATK, so I go with Armor Strike and Piercing to end the battle quickly, but your other units also influence this to work.

Battle

In this battle, it grants us 48 mana, and the only combat rule is:
Noxious Fumes: All units start with Poison.

The cards I use to make it work with Elias are the following:

  • First find a card with Flank so that Commander Slade can attack from the second position which would be Ulundin Overseer an 11 cost card with high life which will withstand a lot of damage.

  • In second place will be Commander Slade to be granted Reach thanks to Ulundin and also Elias will grant him Armor Strike and Piercing.

  • In third position I go with Halfling Refugee since having Healing can cure itself of Poison but it won't always cure itself.

  • In fourth position I go with Abyssal Elemental since when defeated it can revive due to its ability and also the Poison will be removed.

  • In fifth position I'm playing Shock Trooper, it's a bit risky to play this card with Poison but what I need from this card is Swiftness which will make my units attack first and thus give me more advantage.

  • And in the last position since I have Poison and Electrified in my units I opt for Razorhound since this card will grant Strengthen which will increase the life of my units by +1.

Note: I'm renting cards for the season, so I don't own all the cards, and my Rebellion reward cards are still leveling up. Otherwise, I'd play this battle with a Tank Heal, Cleanse, or Triage to heal my units.

Now I will analyze the opponent: He plays with a LVL MAX Archon and most of his cards are at LVL MAX and he has two Black Foil cards 😮.
The opponent uses Anasth Soothsayer, a unit with Tank Heal and Cleanse, which will cleanse his unit of Poison.
He has 3 units with Sneak, so his strategy is to finish off my rear units while his Commander would hold out at the front.
Also in his last position he plays with Sea Dog of Eight a unit with Heal and also grants him Shield for his Archon, which when receiving damage from the Poison will heal him as if nothing had happened.

Round 1:
The Commander's Armor Strike attack leaves the Commander at 4 health, and Shock Trooper defeats the enemy Commander.

image.png

Round 2:
Commander defeats Tidal Tsunamist with the shield attack.
Commander then defeats Captain Fellblade with melee damage, defeating two enemy units this
round.
Trooper defeats Boring Hobgoblin.

Round 3:
Due to Poison and Electrified on my side, Razorhound and Abyssal Elemental are defeated but Abyssal returns to the battle due to his ability and now without Poison.
Commander defeats Anasth Soothsayer.

image.png

Round 4:
The Electrified and Poison defeat two of my units: Ulundin and Trooper.
The Commander defeated Sea Dog of Eight with Armor Strike and won the battle.

Full Battle

The opponent, if he had had a Swiftness or Slow, something that alters Speed, perhaps he would have won the battle.
His strategy was apparently to have the Commander resist attacks in the first position since he would have a healing and clean the poison with Anasth, also if I went with ATK sneak it would be impossible to beat Sea Dog since he has Healing and Shield.
And apparently its damage was based on ATK Sneak, which is defeating the rear units first, which is good with this combat rule since most cards with healing abilities are placed in the rear positions.

The opponent almost won, maybe if I had exchanged one card for another it would have been a different result, and also if my reward cards were at MAX level it would have been an even faster victory for me.
