The Work-Life Balance Agenda.

The strategy that a lot of people get forced to adopt regarding work is to push really hard and work for as much and as long as possible while staking every other thing on the probability of building enormous wealth so they can afford to relax and get some rest when all work is done.

These sorts of people spend a lot of hours each day working their jobs, trying to do additional side hustles or even attempting to build a personal business. To be fair, a lot of people choose this path because they want to be exceptionally successful and they understand that sacrifices have to be made to gain the sort of status they want. Meanwhile, others just work round the clock because that's what their circumstances warrant and it can't be helped.

Of course, when someone dedicates himself to that sort of lifestyle, it becomes really hard for him to have a life outside of the work they do. People like that struggle to have a family and even when they have one, they are hardly available for their spouse or kids. Yeah! They would likely cover all the financial necessities needed to run a family. But they struggle to really connect or create a pure interpersonal bond with their spouse and kids.

In addition to all we've highlighted, people who are all about work also struggle to take up leisure activities. They see it as a waste of time that could be used to grind more and build more wealth. Interesting, right?

This brings us to the big question about work-life balance;

Some people don't find it important, while others consider it obligatory. What is your opinion about work-life balance?

I've noticed that having a family, having a very close network of genuine friends, and having a couple of things I enjoy doing outside of work helps me to aim towards a work-life balance. I also like to take a break from work to just refresh my energy. I do that because I know from experience that I could easily become someone who dedicates 100% of his life to work, work, and more work.

Whether that would be worth it in the end is something we wouldn't know at the moment. I'd know that I want to build wealth and I want to be able to also have a life. So, at this very moment, my work-life balance isn't balanced, but I'm trying to not sacrifice too much work for life or vice versa.

It's a popular topic for people who have the option of balance, versus those who must work arduously just to get by. You need a strong and healthy mind and body to work, and thus work and life are not exclusive. If you're lucky, "work" also feeds your life interests, thus overlapping the two.
As for wealth, it can be important, but the primary reason for more money isn't wealth as much as choice. By building your financial value, you are giving yourself more choices in where and how you spend your time and money. You are also improving the ability to walk away from people or situations that you view as unsafe or unethical. That is powerful.

This is true. I particularly like the point you made about how having more wealth puts us in a position where we can walk away from an unsafe or unethical situation.

A lot of people have to deal with such situations in their workplace or country. Yet, they remain in such situations because they lack the Finances needed to make a change.
