^{-En las colinas de las montañas cercanas, durante la temporada lluviosa, las mariposas aparecen con su magia y alegría. Son estos espacios los que llamo "cotos de cazas fotográficos" pues es imposible visitarlos y no hacer allí algunas fotos que nos hagan sentir bien.}

^{-On the nearby mountains hills, during the rainy season, butterflies appear with their magic and joy. These are the places I call "photo hunting grounds", because it is impossible to visit them and not take some pictures that make us feel good.}

Hoy es el primer día del mes de Julio y el clima de la mañana es simplemente encantador. A pesar de estar en plena temporada de lluvias, hoy el cielo amaneció despejado y un sol exultante y tibio ha servido al parecer, para eliminar gran parte de la humedad remanente de los recientes días lluviosos. Así que el aire se respira livianamente y está repleto de oxigeno.

Today is the first day of July and the morning weather is just lovely. Despite being in the middle of the rainy season, today the skies are clear and the warm, exultant sunshine seems to have removed much of the moisture left over from the recent rainy days. So the air is light in the air and full of oxygen.

^{-A poco más de dos kilómetros de distancia está el pueblo, desde el valle legan algunos sonidos aminorados por la distancia. Esa parte de la magia de estos lugares que están tan cerca del pueblo, pero al mismo tiempo todo cambia y la naturaleza nos abraza.}

^{-A little more than two kilometres away is the village, from the valley there are some sounds that are muffled by the distance. That is part of this places magic, they are so close to the village, but at the same time everything changes and nature embraces us.}

Este inesperado intervalo de buen clima, nos conmina entonces a aprovecharlo y hacer una larga caminata mañanera... También a hacer fotografías que sirvan para registrar y compartir lo visto durante esta agradable actividad.

This unexpected interlude of good weather, so we are encouraged to take advantage of it and go for a long morning walk... And also to take photographs to record and share what we have seen during this pleasant activity.

^{-Tan mágico ha comenzado el día, que me ha bastado extender mi dedo a este diminuta mariposa para que ella se posase en el sin remilgos... Hay una armonía innegable en estos amaneceres luminosos.}

^{-The day has started so magically, that it was enough for me to extend my finger to this tiny butterfly for it to perch on it without any hesitation. There is an undeniable harmony in these luminous dawns.}

Me fui caminando montaña arriba y apenas al avanzar unos metros por el camino rodeado de plantas nuevas y densas, recientemente han crecido gracias a las lluvias insistentes, puede observar gran cantidad de insectos moviéndose entre las plantas... Entonces instintivamente me dediqué a hacer fotografías de ellos.... Así que hoy la mayoría de mis fotos serían de estos insectos, en especial de las encantadoras mariposas, cuya variedad parece incrementarse maravillosamente en estos días.

I went walking up the mountain and just a few meters along the path surrounded by new and dense plants, recently grown thanks to the insistent rains, you can see lots of insects moving among the plants... Then I instinctively started to take pictures of them.... So today most of my photos would be of these insects, especially the lovely butterflies, whose variety seems to be increasing wonderfully these days.

Es tal la diversidad de mariposas, que casi es imposible seleccionar cuales fotografiar. Aunque lo mejor es siempre decidirse por los individuos que parecen estar más tranquilos, los cuales seguramente nos brindarán mejor resultado al fotografiarlos.

Such is the diversity of butterflies that it is almost impossible to select which ones to photograph. However, it is always best to choose the individuals that seem to be the calmest, which will surely give the best results when photographed.

Las mariposas son muy sensibles a la cantidad de oxigeno y de luz disponibles, así que estas mañanas soleadas y de aires frescos hacen que se comporten de manera muy activa y nerviosa. Así que a pesar de aparecer en mayor cantidad, eso no quiere será más fácil fotografiarlas, pues suelen escapar lejos de la cámara con mayor facilidad bajo estas condiciones.

Butterflies are very sensitive to the amount of oxygen and light available, so these sunny mornings and fresh air make them behave in a very active and nervous way. So even though they appear in greater numbers, this does not mean that they will be easier to photograph, as they tend to escape away from the camera more easily under these conditions.

^{-Bien, esto es raro... Pero esta mosca parece creerse una especie de "drone" y estuvo durante varios minutos en vuelo suspendido un metro y medio por encima de mi cabeza... Nuca me había pasado eso, pero igual decidí hacerle una foto para no dejarla pasar por alto. :-)}

^{-Ok, this is weird... But this fly seems to think it's some kind of "drone" and was for several minutes in flight hovering a metre and a half above my head... I've never seen that before, but I decided to take a picture of it anyway, so as not to let it go unnoticed. :-)}

^{-Y las moscas ladronas ya se posan en las plantas a la espera de sus victimas diminutas.... Ellas son el equivalente a "pequeños halcones" entre los insectos y casan pequeñas moscas, mariposas y abejas casi siempre en vuelo. En realidad son pequeños depredadores formidables y temibles.}

^{-And the thieving flies are already perching on the plants, waiting for their tiny victims..... They are the equivalent of "little hawks" among insects and chase small flies, butterflies and bees almost always in flight. In reality they are formidable and fearsome little predators.}

Podría pasar horas haciendo fotografías diversas aquí... Desde los espacios diminutos hasta las tomas abiertas del paisaje, todos parecen estar llenos de luz y de ese aire tempranero que infunde un tipo de vitalidad propio de cuando estamos en entornos naturales.

I could spend hours taking different pictures here... From the tiny spaces to the open landscape shots, they all seem to be full of light and that early air that infuses a kind of vitality that comes with being in natural surroundings.

^{-Hay tanta vida y es tanta la energía desplegada aquí, que inclusive el tronco muerto de un árbol sirve de refugio para que algunas orugas pernocten y luego salgan a devorar las plantas apenas el sol caliente el aire.}

^{-There is so much life and energy on display here that even the dead trunk of a tree serves as a shelter for some caterpillars to spend the night and then come out to devour the plants as soon as the sun warms the air.}

Y no es solo salir a ejercitarse y a hacer fotografías, ni quizás únicamente a provechar el aire fresco o el intervalo de buen clima no... En realidad el objetivo de estos momentos es simplemente hacer catarsis y ensimismarse... Pienso que eso nos hace crecer...

And it's not just going out to exercise and take pictures, or perhaps just to take advantage of the fresh air or the interval of good weather.... In reality the aim of these moments is simply to catharsis and to withdraw... I think that makes us grow...

El valle iluminado y la imponencia de su cielo azul con nubes de gajos blancos esta allí, haciendo falta solo girar la cabeza hacia el y apuntar la cámara para robarle una foto de su magia matutina... Que sin embargo, nos presagia un mediodía de calores sofocantes de los que hay que huir por el bien propio... Entonces es hora del retorno.

The illuminated valley and the imposing blue sky with its clouds of white segments is there, making it necessary only to turn your head towards it and point the camera to steal a photo of its morning magic... However, it foreshadows a midday of suffocating heat from which one must flee for one's own good... Then it's time to return.
