Art is a language that has infinite forms of expression that is constantly renewed from forms that were already raised by artists of the twentieth century.
Today the field of art is moving towards reinterpretation, bringing old codes and placing them in a contemporary context to try to respond to the problems of today's society.
In this sense I would like to share some impressions about the work of the Venezuelan artist Victor Contreras, born in Valencia in 1988, he studied at the Arturo Michelena School of Plastic Arts and at the School "El estricto orden de la anarquía" of the Venezuelan sculptor Carlos Rojas.
His work is a chivera, in the strict sense of the term, he takes elements of arte povera, rade made, ephemeral art and reuses them to propose a new meaning through humor.
Victor Contreras is always attentive to the facts of everyday life: its chaos, the irregular normalized, with which he builds a parody on the reality of contemporary society.
Ridiculing order and normalizing immorality as the logic that underlies our lives.
For this he uses different supports and materials such as advertising boards, animal skulls, carvings where the conventional drawing leaves its common support to move around the city. The work is there irreverently scandalizing the passers-by.
His proposal takes up some principles of the avant-garde of the twentieth century insofar as their purpose is to discomfort the viewer, to shake him, as a way to awaken the conscience.
The world is still a dangerous place, society is threatened by wars, nuclear weapons, drugs, diseases, in this sense art has a questioning and irreverent role.
Victor always leaves us exposed. He unmasks the comedians of an established order.

El arte es un lenguaje que tiene infinitas formas de expresión que se renueva constantemente a partir de formas que ya fueron planteadas por artistas del siglo XX.
Hoy en día el campo del arte avanza hacia la reinterpretación, trayendo viejos códigos y situándolos en un contexto contemporáneo para intentar responder a los problemas de la sociedad actual.
En este sentido quisiera compartir algunas impresiones sobre la obra del artista venezolano Victor Contreras, nació en Valencia en el año 1988 cursó estudios en la Escuela de Artes Plásticas Arturo Michelena y en la Escuela "El estricto orden de la anarquía" del escultor venezolano Carlos Rojas.
Su obra es una chivera, en el estricto sentido del término, toma elementos de arte povera, el rade made, el arte efímero y los reutiliza para proponernos un nuevo sentido a través del humor.
Victor Contreras siempre está atento a los hechos de la vida cotidiana: su caos, lo irregular normalizado, con los que construye una parodia sobre la realidad de la sociedad contemporánea.
Ridiculizando el orden y normalizando la inmoralidad como lógica que subyace en nuestras vidas.
Para ello se vale del uso de distintos soportes y materiales como vayas publicitarias, cráneos de animales, tallas donde el dibujo convencional sale de su soporte común para desplazarse por la ciudad. La obra está allí irreverente escandalizando a los transeúntes.
Su propuesta retoma algunos principios de las vanguardias del siglo XX en tanto tienen como propósito incomodar al espectador, sacudirlo, como una manera de despertar la conciencia.
El mundo todavía sigue siendo un lugar peligroso, la sociedad está amenaza por las guerras, las armas nucleares, la droga, las enfermedades, en este sentido el arte tiene un papel cuestionador e irreverente.
Victor siempre nos deja al descubierto. Desenmascara a los comediantes de un orden establecido.

STOPMe gustó la segunda obra, se ve bastante interesante ese diseño. Creo que lo exótico de sus figuras es lo que llama mi atención. El arte tiene muchas formas de manifestarse, también de interpretación. Saludos.
