Спогади про квітень 2020/ Memories of April 2020 En/Ua #freewrite

Сьогоднішній сонячний день нагадав мені минулорічні події.
Згадую, як минулого року почався карантин. Кілька тижнів я, моя мама, і мій син Максим просиділи вдома. Територія в квартирі невелика. А ще ми виходили на балкон. Раз в тиждень мене відправляли в супермаркет, поповнити запаси їжі. Потім телевізор, інтернет вже не були цікавими. Мама запропонувала поїхати у наше село Пониква.
Ми зібрали необхідні речі, продукти і поїхали автомобілем по трасі Київ-Чоп. Моє село знаходиться у Бродівському районі Львівської області. Воно дуже красиве.

По дорозі вирішили садити город, цибулю, картоплю, буряк, моркву, салат, кінзу, редиску, кріп. Почистити сад від кмизу. Пообрізати сухі гілки на деревах. Ножицями-сікач ообрізати виноград і малину, щоб рясніше вродило.
В селі навіть не помітний був карантин. Усі люди займалися господарством. А роботи було багато, і на городі, і на полі.

Today's sunny day reminded me of last year's events.
I remember how the quarantine started last year. For several weeks, my mother and my son Maxim stayed at home. The area in the apartment is small. And we would go out on the balcony. Once a week I was sent to the supermarket to replenish food supplies. Then TV, the Internet were no longer interesting. My mother offered to go to our village Ponikva.
We gathered the necessary things, products and drove to the Kyiv-Chop highway. My village is located in Brody district of Lviv region. It is very beautiful.
On the way they decided to plant a vegetable garden, onions, potatoes, beets, carrots, lettuce, cilantro, radishes, dill. Clean the garden from branches. Prune dry branches on trees. Use pruning shears to prune grapes and raspberries to make them more abundant.
Quarantine was not even noticeable in the village. All people were engaged in farming. And there was a lot of work, both in the garden and in the field.

А в моєму мальовничому селі все цвіло, квіти, вишні, свіже повітря наповнювало мої легені. Настрій в нас трьох покращився і ми взялися до роботи.
Коні розорали нам землю. Земля стала пухка. Цього ж дня ми посадили картоплю. Фурман Андрій- це власник коней. Він сказав, що я зовсім не вмію картоплю садити. Але я намагалася встигати класти картоплини в землю.
Що я ще помітила, що в селі дуже хочеться поїсти. Апетит на свіжому повітрі в рази більший ніж у місті.

And in my picturesque village everything was blooming, flowers, cherries, fresh air filled my lungs. The mood of the three of us improved and we set to work.
The horses plowed our land. The ground became loose. On the same day we planted potatoes. Andrew is the owner of horses. He said that I did not know how to plant potatoes at all. But I tried to have time to put the potatoes in the ground.
What else did I notice that I really want to eat in the village. Appetite in the fresh air is many times greater than in the city.

На вихідних була вербна неділя. І ми пішли до церкви. Хата моєї бабусі знаходиться біля церкви, тому нам дуже близько. Там священник освятив вербу, побажав селянам гарного свята, бути обережними, тому що є карантин.

On the weekend it was Palm Sunday. And we went to church. Home My grandmother is the church, because we are very close. There the priest consecrated the willow, wished the villagers a good holiday, be careful, because there is quarantine.

Моя сім'я була в гарному настрої.
В наших краях є звичай, приносити вербу на цвинтар до своїх родичів.
Ми також вирушили на цвинтар занести вербові гілочки.

My family was in a good mood.
In our region there is a custom to bring a willow to the cemetery to their relatives.
We also went to the cemetery to bring willow twigs.

За цвинтарем виднівся ліс. І ми вирішили пройтися повз нього. В лісі ростуть могутні дерева дуби, буки. На землі вже зеленіла травичка і зацвіли квіти.

There is a forest behind the cemetery. And we decided to walk past him. Mighty oak and beech trees grow in the forest. The grass on the ground was already green and the flowers were in bloom.

Ми підійшли до чиєїсь закинутої хати. Максим знайшов якісь палку і тішився нею. Поряд стояли вулики. Я підійшла до них. Там працювали бджоли. Мабуть хтось сюди приходить, щоб пильнувати свої вулики.
Ліс пахнув свіжістю.
Потім ми підкріпилися і поїли свої бутерброди, і попили води. Щоб мати силу повернутися додому. А це довга дорога.

We approached someone's abandoned house. Maxim found some stick and was happy with it. There were beehives nearby. I approached them. Bees worked there. Apparently someone comes here to look after their hives.
The forest smelled fresh.
Then we refreshed ourselves and ate our sandwiches and drank water. To have the strength to return home. And this is a long road.

Коли я була школяркою, я щороку проводила в селі літні канікули. Я раніше не любила тут бути. А тепер, коли подорослішала, то розумію, чому мені і Максимові подобається приїзджати сюди. Пониква дуже красиве українське село, в ньому живутб працьовиті люди.
Я люблю Поникву.

When I was a schoolgirl, I spent summer vacations in the village every year. I didn't like being here before. And now, when I grew up, I understand why Maxim and I like to come here. Ponikva is a very beautiful Ukrainian village, hardworking people live in it.
I love Ponikva.

Повертаючись додому, ми проходили повз озера. На ньому плавали лебеді. Вони були прекрасні!
Надіюсь, що цього року зможу знову помилуватися лебедями на озері в Поникві.

On the way home, we passed the lake. Swans swam on it. They were wonderful!
I hope that this year I will be able to admire the swans on the lake in Ponikva again.
