A pesar de que Corea del sur es considerado como uno de los paises del primer mundo debido a sus avances tecnológicos, todavía tiene una cultura muy arraigada a prejuicios sociales, por ejemplo, según Sue (Chingu amiga), hay mucho machismo tanto en el ámbito laboral como en el social, o también hay mucha estigmatización con respecto a las personas que deciden terminar con una relación, por ejemplo las personas divorciadas, lo que sucede es que la cultura de cada país asiático ha sido muy romantizada a lo largo de los últimos años debidos a los Kpop y a los famosos doramas.

Sin embargo, ya que tengo varios amigos sur coreanos a distancia, en especial uno que vive en México, les he preguntado por su opinión y mi amigo que vive en México me dijo que ella muchas veces exagera, lo cual lleva a mal poner la imagen de su propio país ante el resto del mundo, es decir, al igual que en todas partes, Corea del sur tiene sus cosas buenas y malas, pero ella solo resalta las cosas malas.
