Take it with you to the grave/Reblog lottery

In this post I share some more Canadian Junk silver coins I got at my local coin shop at 10% over spot, not a bad deal.

No it wasn't a clickbait but I was going to make a basic ass post but faith had other plans and rightfully so its not a Lazy Saturday that was yesterday.

As I was uploading the picture you see above I stopped for a second and considered something I didn't before, you notice the 2 prices, 7.50 for the 1910 dime and 10 for the 1907. The previous owner did this, but what I know about this shop is that they do estate sales, so these came from someone that is no longer with us.

There is a lot to take in here, so lets start off light, Like i mentioned I paid 10% over spot nothing close to the 7.50 and 10 bucks that someone was hoping to sell them for, Naturally the coin shop paid even less unless they are in the business of losing money.

But the real deal is not about the silver or it's worth, the real deal is a saying that more people need to heed apparently "You can't take it with you to the grave" All this shit you got is not coming with you....

It's more than likely this person had family that could have inherited this collection and could have passed it on or sell it perhaps for a better price.

Maybe the person didn't have a family but even if that's the case its a shame to let this value get snatched by vultures, and this goes beyond the stack, we are all going to die eventually hopefully later then sooner, so I think its very wise to have a plan of what you want to happen with the value you amassed even if its not family maybe charity or something you would want to support when you are gone.

also if you are a stacker and you are here you do have a family! And nephew @bitcoinman loves you very much 🤣 I am just messing, maybe just a few cool pieces in the will, give the rest to a good cause.

@bitcoinman's bits of wisdom

  • Invest only what you can afford to lose and be mindful of the potential risks.
  • Leverage is a great tool for loosing money fast.
  • Numismatics for the lows stick to smart stacking baby.
  • Be cautious of new schemes in crypto, like ICOs, DeFi, and NFTs, do your research before investing.

The older Canadian junk are still worth getting though they are often worn down. I think most Canadians would not recognize these pre-confederation coins as Canadian coins.

That's true but most Canadian are clueless 😂

Nice! I love junk silver! You got a great price, ten over spot is always a good deal.

You're right about not being able to take it with you... I doubt that I'll ever sell any of my Collection, but who knows... I'm in my Golden Years and want to have plenty of fun before I go... I'm sure I be taking the U.S. Treasury up on the Special Deals I think they'll be offering for my "Less Rare" Silver and Gold Coins... I should have more Spending Power than I ever Dreamed of having... If only I knew how much time I have left... I sure wouldn't want to Spend everything and live another 10 years in poverty...

Well that why it's good to have a good financial strategy and that would include a will

Not sure if you're the answer but maybe you can lead me in the right direction.. im interested in hetting started in silver/gild.. TIA

I can help for sure , any questions you may have are welcome

Sorry, I have no idea of all this stuff.

10% spot on $10 coin meant you paid $11?

Since it is 1907 coin , isn't the silver used in this coin may be over $10?

I paid for the pure silver weight, that 10 dollar price is what the owner before me tried to sell it for (numismatic value) spot is the price on the stock market for silver futures and I paid 10 % over that , and no not 10 dollars at current spot price it has more numismatic value than bullion value
