Hi dear Hive community,

During our stay in Pokhara, we quickly realized that for us the city at the Lakeside was too loud, crowded and overwhelming. With our rented motorbike we did a small round to the outskirts. By the road we could see the big sign saying camping and we went asking about it. We were happy with the offer,as they said it's just voluntary payment based on how much we can afford and feel.

When we reached the whole family greeted us and invited for a cup of chai and biscuits. They show us around their home where we met animals from goats, ducks, chicken and fishes. Besides that they have also a cat and a dog.

We put our tent on the roof of a building, which serves as a restaurant and a local place for people to meet, hang out or play poll. It was great that we had protection from sides and a roof. Like we suspected that it will be two days rainy.

The family was very excited to host us. Two youngest members of the family were happy to give us company and help us with setting our tent. It's festival season and children have holidays.

We had a great view on the rice fields and landing place for balloons and parachutes. Besides the view and peace, we enjoyed the most cooking by ourselves and the slow life which brings the villages with it.
