Content Control Features

Hello, D.Buzz development enthusiasts!

We believe in freedom of speech and expression, but also giving you control on what to view. With a society that is constantly becoming more diverse, it is important to have outlets that reflect that. However, we also understand that not everyone wants to be exposed to certain topics, which is why we give you the ability to choose what you see. Whether it’s through our content filters or our user-generated ratings and reviews, we want you to be in control of your experience.

To this end, we have implemented temporary hiding of buzzes that use the #NSFW hashtags to maintain a respectful and professional environment for all users. This is a necessary measure to ensure that all users can feel comfortable and respected while using our site. This is only temporary; we will be adding in a toggle switch in the next week or two under your settings tab that you can opt to display or not display #NSFW tagged buzzes. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work towards implementing the second phase of this update.

Please remember that we believe in honoring your freedom of expression and speech. We think that it is important for everyone to be able to express themselves freely and without fear of retribution. We also believe that it is important to be respectful of others’ opinions and beliefs, even if we do not agree with them. It was brought to our attention that in our community, we have some younger users who were being presented with adult content. While its not our place to say what is right and not right to view at what age, we felt it was time to implement a #NSFW filter.

Again, we will have a toggle switch for this content in the next 2 weeks.

This week, we also rolled out some UI streamlining. To reduce the visual noise on the screen, we removed the lower redundant hashtags.
