How Decentralised are you...Really?

Don't just TALK about Web3, actually USE IT.

CastGarden now available via Web3 domains!

To further decentralise your Hive-Tube powered site, be sure to also implement site cloning to the various alternative DNS domains. There are still hundreds of Hive-Tube sites that have not enabled this feature yet.

This way, if anything ever happens to your .com, .tv, .io etc domain, your site remains accessible.

For example, Podcasters' content on Cast.Garden is now cloned at:
http://castgardn7yj746n7nyt3udot5orhpqfs36sl7rq2y3yd4su6ruuddyd.onion/

Tor, Lokinet, ENS, HNS and UD domains give your viewers/listeners many more incentives and ways to access your content, so why not use them? Oh, and don't forget to use Minio, IPFS, ActivityPub, Matrix and the other free options that are available out there. Decentralise it all!

Don't just TALK about Web3, actually USE IT. 💪

As long as Discord and other centralized services are as popular as they are, especially places like this, then things aren't really going to change. People are drawn to these centralized apps, and we can only hope they understand what they are doing when they choose to use a centralized app in this way. A decentralized project that has a Twitter account and a Discord doesn't make sense to me. That sounds like a buzzword project, and like they don't understand the fundamental philosophy of what's going on here. Remaining tied to these centralized services is simply not going to be the branch that blossoms into the true Web3 and Web 4.0.

The more people we can reach, the better. Even if it's just the "fringe" alt-dns crowd. They encourage others to use products and services that actually make use of web3 options.

Also, we use some web2 platforms like Twitter as well and we constantly tweet out links to web3 content. It's a slow, arduous journey, but the more peope start seeing our web3 platforms, the better.

It's all about the eyeballs and awareness.

We are the ones here on Hive that are really setting the example for others to discover and make use of.

You forgot i2p.

Indeed!
I've not used i2p as of yet, but yeah it might be fun to clone on there as well :)

Right! must USE it or LOSE it..
