Yes, I know. Today is the first day of the month again, and normally this is the famous Hive Power Up Day. To help track that event, I created a small tool some time ago, which you can find here:

But today I want to show you something different. I spent my entire day building the complete opposite of the Power Up tool. I built a Power Down Tracking tool. This new software tracks all active power downs on the Hive blockchain. It shows which power downs are currently running, the next 50 payouts that will happen, and much more. One part that I am especially proud of is the calendar view. It allows you to see exactly how much powered up Hive will be converted back into liquid Hive on each specific day.
To make the whole thing even more useful, I added a CoinGecko request for the current Hive price. With that, you can also see the value in USD for all the Hive that is being unstaked. It gives a different perspective, and it shows how much movement is happening in the ecosystem.

At the moment of writing this post, there are about 1,657,230 Hive in ongoing power downs (13 Weeks). With the current price, this is around $158,512 US Dollars. About 1,258 wallets are actively powering down right now.
The tool also includes filtering options. You can type a username to see only that user's information. You can click on the column headers to sort the table. You can open a detailed view by clicking on any username. In the calendar view you can click the number at the top right of each day to see more details about the power downs scheduled for that date.
I built this tool because I think it is interesting to not only see how much people power up, but also how much they power down. Both sides show the real behavior of the Hive community. And with this system you can finally see everything in one place in a clean and easy way.

Also I advocate for moving off vercel as I'm not a fan of them.
Can you elaborate on the reasons? I host all my stuff myself and don't really see a reason why to use vercel or similar tbh. But im curious why you advocate to move away from vercel.
They aren't well priced at all. While the free tier is nice, once you grow out of it, the costs grow quick. And I'm sure they'll pull a move like other platforms once they want to go public and greatly reduce or fully remove their free tier. Their entire infra is built on AWS so they can't be cheaper than AWS, so you get to pay more for less. Also has vendor lock in. Rewriting is going to be effort down the line. They are also not expanding with their tech. Like look at their IPv6 support, which they promsied for 2024 and in 2026 it's still not here and instead they are going even deeper into IPv4 with buying 2 /16 blocks. I don't see them improving tech wise anytime soon in that front and I see it as a necessity in 2026 with CGNAT and such deployed in so many end user ISPs. At the end of the day they are just a glorified AWS wrapper with high vendor lock in, sure it might be nice for a small thing, but if you are growing, I'd look elsewhere.

Those folks transferring to exchanges need tracking so that we can stop voting more to them, imo.
The hive needs more folks that can save something rather than those that just spend it as quick as they get it, IF we hope to see mass adoption and not mass dumping.
