Hola a todos en la querida comunidad de WomenTribe el día de hoy vengo con un nuevo tema para mi columna "El Sendero hacia el crecimiento personal" y quiero hablar de un tema muy importante donde hemos ido evolucionando durante los últimos años, el rol de la mujer en la sociedad actual. Los años van pasando cada vez más rápido y la mujer se ha reinventado muchas veces para ser más que la que mantiene a un hogar o la que es ama de casa y se dedica a la crianza de sus hijos, el rol de la mujer tiene tanta importancia hoy en día que ya se ve más allá de solo el tema del hogar o familiar. Gran parte del avance de que hoy en día las mujeres puedan ser más independientes y decidir sobre si mismas y lo que quieran hacer con su vida es debido, en gran medida, a que la educación ha permitido la autonomía femenina, y con ello la búsqueda de su independencia económica, el desempeño social y laboral.
Hello to everyone in the dear community of WomenTribe today I come with a new topic for my column "The Path to personal growth" and I want to talk about a very important topic where we have been evolving in recent years, the role of women in today's society. The years are passing faster and faster and women have reinvented themselves many times to be more than the one who maintains a home or who is a housewife and is dedicated to raising their children, the role of women is so important today that it is already seen beyond just the theme of the home or family. Much of the progress that today women can be more independent and decide about themselves and what they want to do with their lives is largely due to the fact that education has allowed female autonomy, and thus the search for economic independence, social and labor performance.
El empoderamiento femenino se ha hecho muy popular en los últimos tiempos, dónde podemos ver cómo a través de ejemplos de mujeres que han logrado grandes cosas cómo un cambio en las leyes y que ahora tenemos más libertad sobre nuestros cuerpos y sobre nuestras decisiones, podemos decir que las mujeres tenemos ahora la mente un poco más amplia acerca del destino que decidamos para nuestra vida y también dentro de todo el respetarnos unas a otras comprendiendo que cada una puede decidir lo que desea para su vida, ya sea formar una familia, dedicarse a estudiar y lograr triunfos profesionales o hacer ambas porque las mujeres podemos hacer tantas cosas a la vez que a veces no sabemos cómo lo podemos hacer pero siempre logramos grandes cosas con nuestro ímpetu y deseo de avanzar y crear eso que hemos soñado.
Female empowerment has become very popular in recent times, where we can see how through examples of women who have achieved great things such as a change in the laws and that we now have more freedom over our bodies and our decisions, we can say that women now have a broader mind about the destiny that we decide for our lives and also within all the respect for each other understanding that each one can decide what she wants for her life, whether it is to raise a family, dedicate to study and achieve professional success or do both because women can do so many things at once that sometimes we do not know how we can do it but we always achieve great things with our momentum and desire to move forward and create what we have dreamed of.
El avance en el rol de la mujer en la sociedad esta avanzando mucho, ahora podemos ver que la lucha por nuestros derechos en algunos casos es respetada y ya podemos hablar de temas como la educación donde antes las mujeres no se veían teniendo un título universitario o haciendo una carrera y terminaban abandonando sus estudios por falta de oportunidades o por la misma educación desde casa donde veían que las mujeres siempre seguían los mismos pasos que era casarse y tener hijos para luego atender al esposo y a los hijos y al final darse un tiempo si es que se podía. Los derechos humanos en las mujeres han mejorado pero aún falta mucho por avanzar, sobre todo en el tema de los feminicidios, es bastante preocupante cómo las tasas de muertes debido a feminicidio hay en mi país y en todo el mundo. La educación sexual es un tema que aún hay quienes no reciben o no hay estás campañas por parte de los gobiernos para que no ocurran embarazos no deseados o abortos de forma clandestina, es un tema delicado y pienso que la mujer es la que debería decidir por qué es su cuerpo y su vida y no somos quien para juzgar la decisiones que tomen otras.
The progress in the role of women in society is advancing a lot, now we can see that the struggle for our rights in some cases is respected and we can already talk about issues such as education where before women were not seen having a college degree or making a career and ended up abandoning their studies for lack of opportunities or the same education from home where they saw that women always followed the same steps which was to marry and have children and then take care of the husband and children and finally take some time if they could. Women's human rights have improved but there is still a long way to go, especially on the issue of femicide, it is quite worrying how the death rates due to femicide are in my country and around the world. Sex education is an issue that some people still do not receive or there are no campaigns by governments to prevent unwanted pregnancies or clandestine abortions, it is a sensitive issue and I think that women are the ones who should decide why it is her body and her life and we are not the ones to judge the decisions made by others.
Sin duda las mujeres han contribuido tanto en el desarrollo socio-economico como en cada comunidad donde podemos ver cómo las mujeres se desempeñan en diferentes trabajos y áreas, haciendo trabajos incluso tan forzosos cómo si fuera para un hombre. Las mujeres hoy en día tienen que vivir con el rechazo de la sociedad antigua que decían que no se podían divorciar o tener otra pareja que no fuera con la que se casaron y mucho menos pensar en tener tiempo de disfrute para ellas. Desde muchos años hemos visto cómo las mujeres luchan por la igualdad y el respeto de nuestros derechos, haciendo todo lo que una mujer puede hacer y sabe bien hacer, alzando su voz por las que se sienten atrapadas y débiles ante la sociedad.
Women have undoubtedly contributed as much in the socio-economic development as in every community where we can see how women perform in different jobs and areas, even doing jobs as hard as if it were for a man. Women today have to live with the rejection of the old society that said they could not divorce or have another partner other than the one they married, let alone think about having time to enjoy themselves. For many years we have seen how women fight for equality and respect for our rights, doing all that a woman can do and knows how to do well, raising her voice for those who feel trapped and weak in the eyes of society.
El ejemplo de las mujeres hoy en día es que pueden ser tantas cosas como ellas así lo decidan, pueden ser las mejores amas de casas y criar a sus hijos cosa que no es un trabajo fácil y además requiere de esfuerzo y cuidados. También nos hemos destacado en diferentes áreas del trabajo cómo empresarias, abogadas, contadoras, profesoras, escritoras, psicólogas y pare de contar. Se que muchos de nosotros hemos tenido una figura femenina la cuál ha sido nuestra fuente de fuerza e impulso para seguir nuestros sueños y vivir la vida que deseamos. En mi caso mi abuela materna siempre fue una mujer que a pesar de no tener estudios superiores siempre fue muy inteligente y con un corazón de oro que todo el que la conocía quería conversar con ella un rato, ella fue una mujer muy fuerte que crío a sus hijos prácticamente sola y aún así los sacó adelante como pudo. Mi mamá también es una mujer luchadora, la cual siempre ha tenido la fuerza para ser madre pero también una amiga que te escucha sin juzgar y te abraza en los momentos difíciles.
The example of women today is that they can be as many things as they choose, they can be the best housewives and raise their children, which is not an easy job and also requires effort and care. We have also excelled in different areas of work as businesswomen, lawyers, accountants, teachers, writers, psychologists and so on. I know that many of us have had a female figure who has been our source of strength and drive to follow our dreams and live the life we desire. In my case my maternal grandmother was always a woman who despite not having higher education was always very intelligent and with a heart of gold that everyone who knew her wanted to talk to her for a while, she was a very strong woman who raised her children practically alone and still managed to get ahead as she could. My mom is also a feisty woman who has always had the strength to be a mother but also a friend who listens to you without judging and hugs you in difficult times.
La mujer para mí es ejemplo de resiliencia, hoy en día, aunque sigue siendo considerada el mayor soporte para el hogar, su rol en la sociedad le ha permitido descubrirse en ámbitos antes desconocidos, y revelar capacidades en ámbitos laborales y sociales. Y es así que los quiero invitar a esta nueva iniciativa llamada "La mujer y la importancia de su rol en la sociedad actual" para que nos hablen acerca de sus propias experiencias, de las mujeres que las inspiran y de esas que han dejado una huella en el mundo con su legado, las cuales son muchas.
