🎚 CENTRAL TRUTH:
No matter how dark a night may be, it must surely break into day.

📖 BIBLE TEXT:
1 Corinthians 10:13; Job 42:10-17

🔑 KEY VERSE:

"If thou faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small" (Prov. 24:10).

🖊️ COMMENTARY
The essence of an examination is not to pull down students but to give them the opportunity to prove how much they have learned and reward them if they do well. Examination is never an easy experience; it is never devoid of stress, tension and perspiration. But when the student passed, they forgot all that they went through and concentrate on the outcome of their efforts. No examination is passed without strenuous reading and preparation; no victory is won without a battle. But at the end of hostilities comes celebration.

Talking about Jesus' travail, Scripture says, "After he has suffered, he will see light of life and be satisfied". In the Message Bible Translation it is: "Out of that terrible travail of soul, he will see that it's worth it and be glad that he did it" (Isa. 53:11, 12).

Today, at the name of Jesus, 'every knee shall bow' (Phil 2:10). But before then, He had to humble Himself by becoming obedient to death - even death on the Cross (Phil. 2:10). In the same vein, Job was handsomely rewarded when he passed his test. The Lord blessed the later part of his life more than the former (Job 42: 12).

Indeed, there is light at the end of the tunnel. But to see the light, one has to pass through the dark passage characterized by risks and uncertainties. Interestingly, in God's economy, no one chooses which tunnel to go through. If you can be steadfast in your walk with God, no matter how dark the tunnel you are passing through, the end point is light: No matter how dark a night may be, it will surely break into day.

🙏🏿 PRAYER
LORD, help me to be steadfast in my walk with you no matter how difficult the road may be.
