The theme of this weeks Vibes competition is ROOTS and it was suggested to choose a song from your childhood, the first song you learned/wrote etc. I thought a lot about which song could be appropriate for this and ended up settling on a cover of The Littlest Hobo theme song.
This was a show that aired in Canada when I was a child (ran from 1979-1985). It's about a hobo dog that goes from town to town helping people. The theme song always gives me nostalgic feels when I hear it 😢 A few years ago I came across a cover made by Nightingale Cummings (who is from my province of NS) that was used in an episode of Trailer Park Boys (also from my province) so I feel like this fits the ROOTS theme on multiple levels. It was a bit of a sadder version but very pretty so I based my cover on this one!

You have much talented lady for music fun.
Ty 😊
I've always liked that vagabond style. It's a beautiful song about living every moment to the fullest. I needed this reminder today.
Thanks for sharing!
Your version is so sweet and tender, it might be the same song but it sounded much better to me, it transmits tranquility and feeling. Beautiful!😍
The original is quite upbeat and boppy, I always prefer the sadder versions lol
I like your interpretation better, it has a lot of emotion.💗
So Canada had its own 'Lassie'? ;<)
The Dutch didn't create a show like this but you reminded me of watching (even older) shows, in attics on old TVs. Shows like Lassie and Skippy, back in the ol' days ( of innocence ),
in the 1980s, my childhood.
Nostalgia indeed ❤️
NIce song!
I listened to all 3 versions and enjoyed them all :<)
Sending a hug,
Vincent
Your right it was kind of a Canadian lassie 😂 nice to revisit that stuff once in a while!
