A classic that should return

Today I come to talk about a game ignored by many and forgotten in time, but it was very good, this is Dino crisis developed by Capcom, an interesting title that I enjoyed a lot and it gives me nostalgia to remember it, I had a lot of fun while I played it and I want to share that experience, for me, in particular, the dinosaurs were a giant and beautiful species that dominated this world, true titans that I would have been fascinated to see them.

In this game our goal is to go to Ibis Island to rescue a scientist named Edward Kirk, I said to myself: I hope he is not crazy like almost everyone else hahaha. He was working on a new energy source and was presumed dead, but it was not so, he continued working and surviving as he could. We will control Regina one of the members of the SORT squadron, here I felt like a navy seal, it gives that feeling. Other men of the special force that will come with us are Gail, Rick, and Cooper, (you know, the support in the missions are of great help), but already arriving on the island our companion Cooper dies by the attack of a dinosaur and we already notice that this adventure is not going to be easy.

When we start the game we are shown in an Interfax the mission information and what is our purpose continuing from an exciting and action-packed sequence where we arrive at the typical special forces of a movie, we fall by parachute from a helicopter and unfortunately, we have the first casualty, appears a tyrannosaurus red swallowing Cooper. We enter the base and find blood and a horrible corpse, we realize that all this got out of control.

The moment of truth arrives and we begin to familiarize ourselves with the control. Regina is very agile, she is very good at running, fighting, dodging, making quick turns, healing, and shooting. We have good skills that will help us survive and face fierce enemies such as dinosaurs, we can enter the luggage that shows us the number of bullets, weapons, items, and other objects and tools that help us in survival as quick cures that restore health completely, this is very useful, as they are not slow zombies but fast creatures that follow us to bite and kill us. One of the things that I liked and saw as advantageous is that we can link ammunition and create a way to tame the dinosaurs. What we mostly get in the base are the fearsome Velociraptors, I would run away from them, but in most cases, I liked to kill them with the machine gun for me it was more exciting.

The puzzles are an important part that we must take very carefully, as we will find many doors and safes as we go through and discover the different environments, we will also find documents that if we read we will notice numbers that we must write down because they will serve us to open security doors. We will do all this by shooting and dodging dinosaurs. The decisions we make in the game will affect the different endings that exist leaving the curiosity to play it again. Something that I do not know if I say that it is a defect, but that I found quite difficult is that at some points in the game the camera took some angles where it was difficult to see what was in front of me, in those moments I felt vulnerable and the only thing I did was shoot blindly.

It is a 3D game, but with a combination of angles that give us a view to places that we can not easily access and we also notice the use of static cameras, the characters are well designed and the atmosphere is very good, the cinematics is optimal, well developed for its time are the most outstanding, beautiful images well detailed that make you feel in a Jurassic Park on several occasions. The most developed characters are Regina and Dr. Kirk, they are the only ones that show a more detailed personalities because the rest of the team are only there for something very specific.

The music and sound give another excellent attraction to the game because while we play they make us enter into tension and keep us in suspense, the moments of silence to the roars of the dinosaurs make the whole game fun and very enjoyable. In general, for me, the soundtrack is very good.

To conclude, I would put this game among the best Survival Horror for its time, it was spoken very well of it, it is a very fun and exciting game, unlike others. The decisions we make are important because it depends on them how the game ends. The aspects of graphics and sound are very good, the story is interesting and makes you understand from the beginning. Those who like adventure games, action, horror, and Dinosaurs should play them.

Un clásico que debería regresar

Hoy les vengo a hablar de un juego ignorado por muchos y olvidado en el tiempo, pero que fue muy bueno, se trata de Dino crisis desarrollado por Capcom, un título interesante que disfrute mucho y me da nostalgia recordarlo, me divertí bastante mientras lo jugué y quiero compartir esa experiencia, para mí en particular los dinosaurios fueron una especie gigante y hermosa que dominaron este mundo, verdaderos titanes que me hubiese fascinado verlos.

En este juego tenemos como objetivo ir a la isla Ibis a rescatar a un científico llamado Edward Kirk, me dije: Espero no este loco como casi todos jajaja. Que trabajaba en una nueva fuente de energía y se presumía muerto, pero no era así, siguió trabajando y sobreviviendo como pudo. Controlaremos a Regina una de las integrantes del escuadrón SORT, aquí me sentí como un navy seal, de verdad da esa sensación. Otros hombres de la fuerza especial que vendrán con nosotros son Gail, Rick y Cooper, (saben, el apoyo en las misiones son de gran ayuda), pero ya llagando a la isla nuestro compañero Cooper muere por el ataque de un dinosaurio y ya notamos de que esta aventura no va a hacer fácil.

Cuando empezamos el juego nos muestran en una Interfax la información de la misión y cuál es nuestro propósito continuando de una secuencia emocionante y llena de acción donde llegamos como los típicos fuerzas especiales de una película, caemos en paracaídas desde un helicóptero y lamentablemente tenemos la primera baja, aparece un tiranosaurio red tragándose a Cooper. Entramos en la base y encontramos sangre y un horrible cadáver, nos damos cuenta de que todo esto se salió de control.

Llega la hora de la verdad y nos empezamos a familiarizar con el control. Regina es muy ágil, ella es muy buena corriendo, peleando, esquivando, haciendo giros rápidos, curando y disparando. Tenemos buenas habilidades que nos ayudaran a sobrevivir y enfrentarnos a enemigos feroces como lo son los dinosaurios, podemos entrar a nuestro equipaje que nos muestra la cantidad de balas, armamentos, ítems, y otros objetos y herramientas que nos ayudan en la supervivencia como curas rápidas que restablecen la salud por completo, esta es muy útil, ya que no son zombis lentos sino criaturas rápidas que nos siguen para mordernos y matarnos. Una de las cosas que me gusto y vi ventajoso es que podemos unir municiones y crear una forma de amansar a los dinosaurios. Lo que mayormente nos conseguimos en la base son los temibles Velociraptor, yo huía de ellos, pero en la mayoría de los casos me gustaba matarlos con la metralleta para mí era más emocionante.

Los puzles son parte importante que debemos tomar con mucha atención, ya que nos encontraremos con muchas puertas y cajas fuertes mientras vamos recorriendo y descubriendo los diferentes entornos, nos encontraremos también con documentos que si leemos notaremos números que debemos anotar porque nos servirán para abrir puertas de seguridad. Todo esto lo haremos disparando y esquivando dinosaurios. Las decisiones que tomemos en el juego repercutirán en los diferentes finales que existen dejando la curiosidad de jugarlo otra vez. Algo que no sé si decir que es un defecto, pero que se me dificulto bastante es que en algunos momentos del juego la cámara tomaba unos ángulos donde se me complicaba ver que tenía delante de mí, en esos momentos me sentía vulnerable y lo único que hacía era disparar a ciega.

Es un juego 3D, pero con una combinación de ángulos que nos dan vista a lugares que no podemos acceder con facilidad y notamos el uso también de cámaras estáticas, los personajes bien diseñados y la ambientación es muy buena, las cinemáticas son óptimas, bien desarrolladas que para su tiempo son de las más sobresalientes, imágenes bonitas bien detalladas que te hacen sentir en un parque jurásico en varias ocasiones. Los personajes más desarrollados son Regina y el doctor Kirk, son los únicos que muestran con una personalidad más detallada porque el resto del equipo solo están por algo muy especifico.

La música y el sonido dan otro atractivo excelente y genial al juego, ya que mientras jugamos nos hacen entrar en tensión y nos mantiene en suspenso, los momentos de silencio hasta los rugidos fuerte de los dinosaurios hacen que todo el juego sea divertido y muy agradable. En general para mí la banda sonora es muy buena.

Para finalizar, en lo personal pondría este juego entre los mejores de Survival Horror para su tiempo, se habló muy bien de él, es un juego muy divertido y emocionante a diferencia de otros. Las decisiones que tomamos son importantes porque de ellas depende como termine el juego. En los aspectos de gráfica y sonido es muy bueno, la historia es interesante y hace que te compenetres desde un principio. Para los que les gustan los juegos de aventura, acción, horror y Dinosaurios deberían jugarlo.
